I thought you were meant to put on less weight with your second pregnancies... ( well thats what my mother told me..) with Ben I put on about 15kgs but I got on the scales this morning and at 25 and a bit weeks have put on 10kgs already 62 -72kg
Is this normal, I'm not eating heaps more (well apart from those 2 bowls of chcolate icrecream each night... !!)and looking after Ben...
How much did you ladies put on, will it slow down soon!?

I put on most of my weight around the 20-22 week mark. Overall I have put on 14kg but I WAS a small person to start with. Dont be too concerned as your baby will be getting all it needs (and maybe more! ) and it just may mean you need to work a bit harder afterwards. No biggie really

I've put on about 15kgs so far (haven't weighed myself in a couple of weeks as it scares me!)
I've actually been told you put on more with subsequent pregnancies...

this isn't true for me.....i put on about 15kg with jack and about 2kg with charli yes, 2kg!!! i was so happy to be back to my pre-jack weight a week after i had charli
i wouldn't stress about your weight, alot of it will be baby, fluid etc.....as long as you are eating moderately healthy, you should be fine

I don't get weighed, I kind of figure what will be will be. I guess it may depend on how relaxed or onto it you are with your 2nd pregnancy as to whether you put on heaps of weight. But then again maybe its just one of those unexplained things!

I wouldn't worry cause I'd say it has a lot to do with how healthy you are eating etc and whether you had weight available to lose when you get pg. For me, I gained 13kg every time but my weight loss afterwards was different.

I'm not sure how much I put on it total as my m/w didn't weigh and I don't own scales. But doc weighed me at 5 weeks and then I weighed my self at 28 weeks and had put on 8kg. Everyone is different, different size babies and different amount of fluid and don't forget the extra blood pumping round too. I wouldn't worry about 10kg. Plus I think that you put most on in second trimester and then the weight increases calm down a bit.

You sound the same as me. With Jack I put on 15kg and by the time I was 25 weeks I was almost back up to that I can't remember how much I put on overall but I would say maybe around 18? I'm pretty much back to normal now so I wouldn't worry.
Also you may find your tum looks a bit bigger when bubs comes out compared to first time but it shrinks pretty quickly.
Maybe its a girl thing?? I ate complete rubbish when pregnant with Caprece.

I haven't had 2 pregnancies but I definately put on the most in the first 20 or so weeks. After that it was just the tum. I'm sure your body is just doing what it needs to do.

With Andrew I put on just on 35kgs , yep that is right but I did have pre eclampsia so gaining 7kgs in just one day was enough to warrent an induction. WIth Josh I didn't get weighed as often I know I put some on and in the last few weeks I did gain a heap (due to the pre eclampsia again) but it wasn't as much as Andrew.

ive put on 2kgs so far.. considering all i craved for the first 12 weeks was carbs i havent done too badly. i had just started dieting before i got pregnant, and managed to lose 2 kgs in two weeks. i stopped as soon as i found out.
with my first pregnancy i remember weighing myself at 6 months pregnant and i weighed 86kgs. i certainly would have tipped the scales at around the 95-100kg mark by time she was born. i started off at about 75kgs with my first and managed to get down to 63kgs afterwards.
i started at 67kg with this one.

I put on 15kg my last pregnancy and most of that was put on in the first trimester because of MS And then in the last trimester a lot of my gain was also fluid retention. 7 weeks after birth I am now 13kg off my pre preg weight I read somewhere that 12 - 18kg is the normal range. If you can keep active and avoid comfort eating (definitely harder for me during the pandemic) you can definitely lose the weight you accumulated during pregnancy. The recommended 150 minutes a week of moderate exercise (or 75 minutes of more intense exercise) definitely helps. That's a couple of walks or online cardio / Zumba / HIIT classes a week. Yoga helped me lose my weight a lot faster. Yoga burns calories when done the right way. If you are serious about losing weight and getting fit, you might want to implement a 60-minute power yoga and/or vinyasa flow practice at least five to six days per week. This yoga weight loss program was easy to follow and worked for me during my pregnancy when I started gaining too much weight. Each class is easy to follow, but is varied and enjoyable. Dynamic Sequencing means you'll always be challenged regardless of your current level. If you want to follow my example, think about coupling your practice with a whole foods diet for optimal results. Good luck baby! Mandy
