    Posted: 23 August 2008 at 7:21pm
My OH and I have notice that our DS2 tend to wheezing during lunch or/and dinner, and take up to an hour after meal before it stopped. Reasons for took long for us to notice it because DS2 is known to have viral-wheezing attacks (it is winter now so he had it regularly) but while he haven't got viral that when we have notice...
Anyone got ideas why this happening? it is not every single meals but quite often...
Thanks

Is he having trouble with asthma? Take him to the dr and see if he might need an inhaler?

Yeah asthma is the only thing I can think of,..espcially since he has food allergys/intolerances- they go hand in hand with asthma and eczema.

Is there a particular type of food that is setting off the wheeze?

If our son eats/drinks dairy it will set off a wheeze for him.

I hope for your sake it is just an intolerance maybe to a particular food.
Our son has asthma and it is awful!

Saw our usual GP this morning and she was baffled as she never came across this case. But knowing my DS2 and rest of my children's allergies, intolerances and eczema very well, she will discuss with her colleagues and contact hospital for advices before get back to me. She gave his chest check up - clear and check his heart - clear.
She did hinting might be asthma, need to keep food diary to see if there was any pattern as well as observe his breathing while he is playing and eating ie was he short of breath while eating?
