How unimpressed do you think I was that yesterday afternoon when he was having a glass of wine he dipped his finger in it and let Mercedes lick it off his finger. More than once. And she loved it. GRRRRRR!!!!! Not happy! She has enough alcohol in her veisn inherited from her parents, she doesn't need encouraging at 14 mths old!

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

Hahaha that reminds me of my mercedes who proudly says to whoever was close enough to hear her big mouth in pak n save last week, "I drink Alcohol AYE MUM, I LOVE IT!"  Grrhhh as people actually look at me in disbelief that I feed her alcohol. SHe then proceeds to tell me she tasted some of her uncles wine. Of course this in a quiter voice so no one hears (damn it)..

Better keep those too away from each other when they are older Ems

Gosh grandparents are naughty things aren't they! I'm sure they never did things like that to us (their children!). I recall my FIL giving Gia - 7 mths at the time - a chocolate cream bun! I was horrified! But alcohol - a different story.

Oh & in response to your other thread about the letter he wrote to you - That is sooo nice of him! He sounds similiar to my dad in that it's easier to say something negative, than positive. But I think as they age they get softer don't they.
My babies:

R (9),G (7), J (5)

My dad used to give my little brothers a tiny bit of beer in their bottles! He tried with me when i was little but I spat it back at him, needless to say I HATE BEER!!!!

I busted my FIL spreading chocolate on Sam's dummy yesterday when they were here!   I pretended to not notice but I'm not sure that I'm too thrilled about it.

Still what are grandparents for

I told my mum about this and she said they way they found out I had teeth was that they knocked against the beer bottle  when I was a baby.

Andrew tried my wine again last night and it was a sweeter one and he loved it - came back for more but didn't get any.
