Kawww yeah I agree with Bombshell I think it's much easier to recover from the C when it's an elective as you haven't had the whole labouring thing first. That said I've been trying to do some exercise (more than just gentle walks) and I'm starting to feel twinges 8 weeks on.

I was made to take panadol and voltaren regularly for 5 days by my MW before I could just take it when I needed it. First thing I did was drop the voltaren as it was upsetting my stomach. I bled for two weeks or so and then it stopped and then it came back with a vengeance 3 days or so later so watch out for that.

well mine was a bit different..........i had emergency c....i had many problems .......first the actually had to put all the hand up me too push the baby out (taling rightup to elbow) it took them 20mins to staple me....unfortantly i was in hospital with major complications for 1 month and then another month released to in home care as i couldnt walk or hold baby and was still on high doses or morphine and 3 other high dose pain killers........and still breast feeeding through this (apparently the dose wasnt going to affect babes but im still not sure) my wound was still open on one side when my boy was 5mtns .........i also had a blood clot the size of a rugby ball and the weight of a baby.......i still have pain and my boy is 9mnths but i dont take anything for it.........i actually found the bio oil was the worse thing for my scar as i had major cramps with it but think i may be allergic.

Haven't read all of the posts to sorry if this is a double up, but I took HEAPS of arnica (oral spray) after my Emerg CS and I healed really well! Even surprised the MW and have had comments from my Gnae about how good my scar looks and that I must have had a good recovery lol.
Arnica won't help with the immediate pain, but it will help you heal faster so hopefully you won't be pill popping for as long.

another question...twice now - the first time on sunday after i had been to the arts centre and eaten there so assumed it was that.. I've had diareoa..massive tummy pains then toileting issues after i've woken up the first time to feed.. such pain that it makes me want to be sick and it goes away after going to the loo a few times (sorry wayyyyy too much TMI) .. the first time i told mw..i just assumed it was the food i ate...this last time was last night so haven't told her yet... i just got told the c section can cause scar tissue on the bowel?anyone had this..or any issues with toileting or stomach that resolved itself after a few weeks(he's three weeks tomorrow)..i feel fine afterwards so i assume its not actually something i ate..?

I had this as well. It could be haemeroids (sp?) or just where they push all your insides around to get to baby and the bowel just needs time to settle down.

I was asked by my MW if when I went #2s there was any blood or anything outside of the back passage afterwards and no to both for me so she didn't think it was haemeroids. The pain settled down after a while, probably about a month.

Bleeding doesn't sound good! I'd call your MW asap so she can get you sorted asap. You've got to look after yourself as well as Ethan

I think you should check that out with your mw too. You haven't been overdoing it which has set off a new round of bleeding/cramping? Sounds a bit unusual

the cramping is from inside and then causes diareoa(no bleeding) and nope..no overdoing..if anything i havent been doing enough:(
