I'm not sure how much you want to pay but I bought 2feettall shoes for Charlotte. They are $40 a pair but they have a sturdy but flexible sole and she has worn and worn them and they have been fantastic. We are onto our second pair and they are super cute. We currently have red ones with coloured spots!! I didn't find them until she had been walking for a few months but I would recommend them. A friend had the wee sneakers for her wee boy and they were great too.

Scarecrow Farm Have two brands of soft soled baby / toddler shoes that I really like, 'Cute Baby Shoes' and 'Shoo Shoos' - ours have lasted really well, even through a few trips into the washing machine and drier! We've had Bobux in the past but the fit wasn't quite right, and we haven't really put her into hard soled shoes until reasonably recently.
Hoof does some good shoes too, and often have a good selection in their seconds area.

Trademe! I got heaps on there, had the first steps ones etc. This is weird, but I already put Jack in shoes as he loves to stand all day and would wear out his socks. Plus he fits mainly 6 months shoes, some 6-12 months in smaller fittings I fear for him having clown feet! Eek! I got two pairs of first steps ones with soft soles (but not the material, they're gripping rubber stuff) for $5 on TM the other day. Score...

No Kate, but I'm guessing it'd be in the UK as that's where they are from.

charli has just got her first pair of 'hard' sole shoes yesterday and she's been walking since 13mths. i usually get her shoes from tnt or the warehouse because i can't justify spending a huge amount on something she'll grow out of so quickly. she's had about 6-7 pairs of shoes so i'm glad i only paid $5-10 for each of them
the tnt soft sole shoes are easy to get on. as are the warehouse ones.

You could try HoofThey have great shoes for crawlers and new walkers.
Also have great seconds sales, and from what I have heard the seconds are just like the good ones.
