I know some people don't like the silicone plain coloured cups because they can stain - other's don't care. Something to consider though for those looking

I love mine too but sometimes get slack and go back to tampons. I have a really light flow so I use cloth panty liners overnight or nothing.
A quick question about cleaning it monthly. Do you use your kitchen pot to boil it? I was wondering about the hygiene of then cooking food in it.

To clean my mooncup monthly, I use one of those Medela sterilising bags that you pop in microwave.
Otherwise I'd just boil it in a kitchen pot. I don't see how the pot would be unhygienic for food afterward - as long as you wash the pot.

The Keeper doesn't get boiled. I wash it under the tap, then 5 minutes in a jug of just boiled water with a little vinegar.
I use a kitchen pyrex jug. I figure that gets washed anyway, and it's probably no worse than raw chicken etc!

I have a special little pot that I just use for the cup.
I wash it in soapy water first so it is probably a bit of overkill having a separate pot but it just doesn't seem right to boil my peas up in the same pot I boil the femmecup in!

Im quite keen on trying one of these, but after googling the brands, I am now very confused as to what one to get....
I am over 30 and have had 3 kids. AF is probably pretty normal...as in not very heavy!
Any recommendations? | Generally you'd still get the biggest one as you've had children. I've looked at a few differnet sites and the larger size is for woman who have had children and/or are over a certain age. I'm not over any of the ages but I've had children so would get the bigger cup. I've been looking at one of these and keep humming and ahhhing over it. I said that after DD I get one for when AF comes back. Have had one but have not yet bought one.

I brought one off trademe,
recived it in the post, then got an IUD put in and no longer need it.
Its still sitting in the cupboard unused.
the most action it got was DP pulling it out of the box and squeezing it trying to work out how it gets in there
