I am giggling at all these errant men, I knew there was a reason why I don't let Willie near Countdown! Golf clubs indeed!

Feeling pretty pleased with myself today. Since i went to the supermarket last week I started making a list of all the things I needed and rather than just popping in to buy whatever it was...and another $50 worth of stuff I just added things to my list till it got to the point where my list was full and i needed things like vegetables and fruit and had nothing for the kids to eat so i went along today with my list. Spent $182.61 BUT I got enough food to last two weeks so will just have to get fruit and veges next week maybe. I also had to get cleaning stuff in there cos we are moving this weekend so had to get oven cleaner, etc.... and i also got at least 11 meals worth of meat so I thought that was pretty good going. I went through my crockpot recipe book and added to the list all the little things like fish sauce etc.. that i didnt have in the cupboard but now I can make lots of stuff. The only down side is that I didnt really think about the fact that Im moving this weekend and now I have a super full pantry when i should really have been letting it run down so i dont have to bloody move it all!

Awesome cheap alternative to buying packs of bacon... Buy bacon pieces from the deli counter... Something like $15 a kilo and seriously, it's awesome... It's honestly mainly the likes of leftover streaky bacon strips... So, in reality, they're not pieces... And it's perfect for just chopping up and adding to meals!
My wee girl is the love and light of my life!
