Hi all.. My name is Kirby and i hvae 2 children. When my youngest son was born he had no faontanelle and a obvious dominant ridges on his head, one that runs up from the top of his nose up his forehead and a large ridge where the fontanelle should be. I looked into it and was told by the doctor it was likely he had craniosyntosis which was a deformaty of the skull. He was seen by a specialist last year and was told he had very mild case. I am now worried that it has become worse as my sons ridges are becoming more dominant and he also now has 2 lumps on the back of his head one above each other. I am a little worried expecially if its something else... He has gone from a very happy child to a very misserable little boy and has recently started bashing his head against whatever he can find most of the time its the floor or the wall.
Have you taken him back to the doctor? It sounds like he might be starting to get pain in his head - could that be prompting the banging?
I hope you get some answers soon
