Who has used Ecostore products before? What do you think of them? Still using them ect? Price wise does it work better in the long run or about the same?

2. Who has heard about the melaleuca products ect? Same questions as above. Been to a presentation last night and still a bit hesitant with the sales pitch and the way they run it. Sounded too much like a pyramid scheme to me.

I am looking for products better for our health, more natural, price wise okay and not too expensive and gentle on the earth.

Been looking at making some other cleaners ourselves but more looking into shampoohs and body care to buy.

Any other products?

Melaleuca is pretty much a pyramid shceme, my friend was a seller. but found it really hard to make a decent living - she would make $4.20 a month and another guy in her selling circle was buying BMWs and stuff. She was a new mum who wanted an at home busuiness she could run whereas he could do it more or less full time.
As for the stuff it's actually quite good, expensive, but really concentrated.
Things we loved were the washing detergent, the all purpose cleaning spray, can't remember what it was called but you could use it neat or dilute as a cleaning spray. The soaps are great, still have heaps of the Gold soap it lasts for ages. The sun Valley body products were lovely again really concentrated so they lasted. Shampoos and conditioners I found were drying on my hair, really long fine hair, but I know other people who rate them. The alcolhol hand rubs was great too, not as drying or cloggy as other brands.
Don't use them any more tho, if you get the stuff as a customer rather than randomly off the site, you earn points towards free things, so I used to buy the Nicole Miller make up with my freebies. As the basic level of customer you have to commit to buying so many points worth of products in a month to qualify for cheaper prices tho. That's where we struggled as things were sooo concentrated I just didn't do enough cleaning to stock up each month, but now there are three of us it might be worth revisiting for us too
Sorry for the waffle, but i actually really liked the products just found the way of buying/selling a bit offputting for me

I've tried Melaleuca supplements - they cost us an absolute bomb, and I'm ashamed to say we signed up for them because we were basically guilted/nagged into it until curiosity got the better of us. I would never buy from them again, as the company were awful to deal with - they kept out credit card details and continued to charge us for and send us monthly 'top-ups' of the product that I'd repeatedly made toll calls to tell them we didn't want any more of, and they kept denying that I'd even told them that! The vits made me nauseous, too, but then I had M.E. at the time, so that's probably not a fair appraisal of the vitamins themselves.

Oh yeah, totally a pyramid scheme... oh, ahem, sorry - a multi-level-marketing plan. Wah wah!

I got sucked into Melaleuca by my mum. I still but their products, and really like their cleaning stuff and because it is so concentrated it often works out cheaper, and the fact I know its not as harmful as other stuff out there. I also like their shampoo and body washes, they are a little more pricey but they do last.
There are a couple of other things I cant live with out like their renew cream which is great for Keiras exma and also their melagel which seems to fix anything (cuts and scratches etc.
I get about $9 from it a month although I have never bothered doing anything to make money. My mum did it for a while and was making $500+ a month but then was buying heaps of stuff herself.
I love their stuff but hate the fact that I have to spend $100+ a month to be able to get it. I have friends that also like the stuff so between us all we manage to make it up. It is so much cheaper to buy stuff as a customer, unless you know someone else who can sneak stuff for you.

We use the Meleluca stuff. I love it. I am just a customer and between my friends & family we easily make up the minimum points spend a month. I couldn't live without the washing detergent it smells so scrummy and 1 bottle lasts over a month for us. I agree with Daizy on the Renew cream as well, it has done wonders on Sam's excema too.
Overall they are expensive and I wouldn't get involved in selling, but have had no problems as a customer and really love all the products I have tried so far.
In saying that I haven't been brave enough to dry the detergent on Sam's nappies yet. I stick with the ecostore cause it does a good job and I know it works.

I find the deterget ok. It is fine on my clothes althoguh I often find I am re washing the girls clothes as it just doesnt seem to do as good a job at getting the stains out. Then again maybe if I soaked them first and used a pre spot stain remover I might find it better... smell really nice though.

So can you only buy if you belong to the scheme? And you have to buy up and until at least 35 points a month?

This is what is worrying me. I hate it if I have to belong to a place that makes me do something each month.

I also felt the sales pitch was a bit polished and they wanted me to enrol right there and then and wasnt tooooo happy with the fact that I said I first have to discuss with hubby and then told me that they usually talk to the decision maker. (mmmmm yeah but in my relationship we talk through stuff like this and I dont sign anything unless I at least discuss it with Grant.)

So may I ask is there anyone in Auckland that also buy and that I can get the stuff from perhaps?

Yeah, unless you want to sign up and spend the 35points a month, or have someone you can order through I would go with the eco store stuff. I think is pretty much just as good.

Yeh - I agree some of their presentations can be quite pushy, I was pused into it by my mum (who has always just been a succer for those kind of things) I was too scared to ever show any of my friends the stuff because I didnt want them to feel pressured into anything.

I use Ecostore cleaning products (spray cleaner, creme cleanser) handwash, and wool wash. I use Next Generation soap powder as I go through so much and its normally on special. I love the ecostore cleaning stuff - I can wipe down the benches and Olis highchair without worrying about the nasty chemical residue being left behind. I have asthma as well, so feel better about not inhaling nasties!

I also love the ecostore baby stuff too - it smells so yummy!!

Shirena you are welcome to buy melaluca stuff through me if you want to. That way there would be no obligations for you as I buy it anyway. Just PM me if you are interested.

Also I haven't had any problems with the washing detergent not getting stains out of Sam's clothes. I do tend to do a warm wash if things are really mucky though.

Hi,

Just wondering what the cream is like you use for excema as a couple of you said it is good? Do you use it on their face? How much is it and what ingredients are in it?

I am battling with DS excema.

Thanks

I use the ecostore bbay wash for Luke it's excellent.
Have also used a product called made4baby it's a NZ company they have a website: made4baby.co.nz
I brought the products at the parent and child show last year and have found them excellent.
All natural, no harsh chemicals, detergents e.t.c
I use the body wash, sleep tight massage oil and the botty cream all about $15 a bottle so a bit more than ecostore, but great products.

Luke has senstive skin and both products are great for him.

I use eco store powder for dishwasher also rinse aid and have no probs with it mum uses it too. I have used their washing powder in the past but didn't really like it much although i might try it again. I have also in the past used their benchtop cleaner and found it good to i stay well away from anti bacterial sprays thay are just not agood to have in fact they should really be banned. You don't need them.

We have just started getting the melaluca stuff too and love it. Some of it is quite pricey but the cleaning stuff is great. I wouldn't bother trying to actually make a living out of it but I like the products.

The renew cream is amazing its the only thing that has even come close to helping my partners eczema. Its about $20 a bottle so pretty expensive but I wokred it out to be about the same price as that johnsons intensive moisture cream and have found it way better. Melagel is great as well.

I just joined Melaleuca three months as a Privilege member without realising that you have to keep purchase, even if you don't request the product purchase, the system keeps purchasing it for you. Unbearable and very unfair to customers. You are like being forced to buy every month with at least $130. Expensive stuff.

When I sent a termination letter, they said they received it late though the letter was sent well before the cycle month of 25th dateline & forced me to purchase another cycle month before I could terminate the membership.

Though the products are not bad, again, very unpleasant experience and felt like sucking your money & very costly. I feel like you really have to go deeper into your pocket by joining melaleuca.

We have been Melaleuca customers for about 4 years now and find their products MUCH better and more economical than any of the supermarkets. Also, the 90 day 100% money back guarantee means that you are never stuck with anything you don't want. If you feel badly done by Melaleuca or any other experience, please reply or contact me so we can see you right. I must say that we have never had anything but the best of service. You can PM me. Cheers.
