Just a little background info first, I used to be technically obese at 230lbs. Over 2 years I ended up losing 75lbs and got down to 155lbs. I felt great, looked way better and my blood pressure was perfect. I used CICO and MFP. We have a home gym and I got myself up to running a (very slow) couple miles on the treadmill about 5 days a week, and doing free weights for toning.

Fast forward to now, I’m 6 weeks postpartum with an awesome baby boy. I had a pretty easy pregnancy and delivery, so I’ve been able to start exercising again over the last couple weeks. He’s a good sleeper, and my husband is home to help as well.

I know it’s not realistic to think I can lose all the weight overnight, obviously. I got up to 192 at 9 months, and now I’m sitting around 178lbs. I’m doing ok at my diet, trying to eat healthy. I’m managing working out about 4x a week, but I’m pretty out of shape. It’s just hard starting over again.

What tips do you guys have for getting back into more strict eating habits and getting back into shape? I’d love to get back down to 155, but moreover I want to be in great shape again to keep up with my kid. I want to teach him good habits as well with healthy eating and exercise. I’m just getting discouraged right now I guess because it’s so slow going and the scale won’t budge over the last couple weeks. Help!
