Topic: Green Tea Good or Bad Posted: 23 February 2009 at 8:59am |
Morning Girls
I read that green tea can help you conceive
But I also read that green tea is bad for you if you are trying to conceive because it has caffeine in it
So is green tea Good to take or Bad to take
And is anyone taking green tea to try to concive and did it help if you are already pregnant

Green tea is suppossed to thin out your cm (someone correct me if I'm wrong!). You can get green tea that is caffeine free, the healtheries brand is caffeine free- or so there website says. The mandarin and lime flower flavour is reaallly good! And I'm trying the wild raspberry flavour in hopes to TTC.

I've heard the same good things about (caffiene-free) green tea, but also that it can disrupt the absorption of folic acid, so you should not drink it within at least an hour of taking folic acid tabs and/or not have more than a cup a day and/or take some extra folic acid. Mindy, I think the mandarin and lime flowers one is by far the best.

I drank green tea to help produce EWCM and it did help. But it does also have small amounts of caffiene in it. I still drank it as its only a small amount, nothing too heavy like Coffee or normal Tea.

I've heard that you should drink a cup each day leading up to OV to increase your CM then stop taking it in the TWW.

i've heard it helps with EWCM - agree with Treen - a cup a day until OV - preferably the caffiene free variety if you can get it

I bet the asia one is much stronger and more authentic then the ones we get here! I'm not bravce enough to taste the plain green tea though. Though did anyone watch the news tonight on TV 3? they say that research has validated that if you drink 2x cups of tea a day it can significantly reduce iovarian cancer and 3x cups can drastically reduce the chances of strokes. You need the tea to brew for minimum of three minutes for the antioxidants to diffuse.
Wonder if it includes green tea?
Also can someone let me know if I got the ovarian cancer and stroke round the right way?
