OMG, this made me cry. SPCA are launching an appeal which i plan to contribute to. I wonder if I can say that my money is to help legal fees to prosecute the people who did this?

http://www.spca.org.nz/general/home.htm

I believe that's what the SPCA are wanting in the case of Eve....it would be great if they get it!

Our old neighbours went on holiday and left a mother cat with 7 kittens and no food or water. The mother cat was so scrawny, we feed them. Should have called the SPCA.

my bro-in-law moved town and 'took his cat to the spca'....we went around to the house later that day to see if the cat was there, and sure enough she was!!

she didn't get along with my cat so we took her to the spca

i haven't read this story and i'm not going to, i get to upset and angry!

Did you see the pics today - Eve already looks a giazillion times better, awesome.

the maximum penalties apparetnly are either a 25k fine or 6 months jail, with them wanting the latter in this case. let's face it, they can pay off a fine at a dollar a week. jail time might actually effect them.

if they are the sorts of people to do that to a dog, then i doubt anything effects them

does she have a forever home lined up? i'm really not keen on reading the story so that's why i'm asking

Shes doing really well now though, she's put on weight and has been playing with her caregivers. The SPCA have got a blog going that you can read. I saw photos of her today... she's sooo cute.

As for the owners, the SPCA still want jail for them, apparently lawyers have offered their services f.O.C so they can nail the monsters.
