Yeah it's roughly the age gap we wanted.. DH especially wanted to have kids with a close age gap so they would be able to enjoy the same kinds of things together.

I'm still nervous as I'm going to miscarry so I don't think I'll get too excited about it for a couple of weeks at least yet.

My spotting seems to have stopped, yay! I've been worrying about that for days. I'm still ultra paranoid that I'm going to miscarry so am still not overly excited yet as my doctor said don't worry about the spotting (ha yeah right!) unless you get cramps as well or it gets heavier. Well I've got some cramping today but I think it's more stretchy cramps. Here's hoping anyway.

Yeah my back is getting sorted. I'll see my chiro right throughout to keep on top of it because I had major back issues last time and I refuse to put up with it this time.

Sheza, yeah it "probably" is implantation but my paranoid mind will focus on what else it might be especially since its definitely enough to need a liner but not much I can do about it now. Just have to wait until I can have a scan when I'm further along to show something!

How are you laddies doing today? Im starting to get over the shock and i am getting excited hehe. The one thing i am going to find hard i think is that i gave up smoking 5 months ago and i have put on 15kgs so i have gone into this pregnancy a size 14-16 where as my last 2 i was a 12. Im hopeing that it doesnt make it to much harder but i cant do anything about it now i guess. I am going to start swimming every day in this pregnancy instead of twice a week.

I'm tired...been soooooooo tired during the day but unable to sleep at night!! So annoying.

Quite nauseous but no vomitting. Sore bbs.

Other than that feeling just fine. Am quite nervous after the miscarriage and can't wait until the 6 week scan.

has your spotting stopped?

-------------

Posted By: kebakat
Date Posted: 02 March 2008 at 4:28pm
Not totally. I think I'm just doomed to spot right throughout. It's not worse, very very light, it's like CM that's just tinged with brown (sorry if thats TMI).

Posted By: Shezamumof3
Date Posted: 02 March 2008 at 4:54pm
Thats sounds exactly what i had this pregnancy, I had one pink bleed, then had brown spotting for nearly 2 weeks, so i had 3 lots of hcg done and a 6 week scan to check everything was ok. My midwife thinks it was inplantation. Then it just stopped over night.
Will they do a scan or anything if you keep spotting?

Oh and did you know Im due on Daniels Birthday lol

I'm kind of glad and sad that I'm not the only one with wind issues. It really does suck!

Sheza: That's so cool that you are due on Daniels birthday. It's a wonderful day to have a baby even better since Daniel was a week early .

I'm getting a scan done when I'm further along. Doc would like me to hold out until I'm about 7-8 weeks so more can be seen. I'm considering ringing him tomorrow though and asking if I can get another hcg test done (never even bothered with Daniel) just to make sure its going up as it should. It may help put my mind at ease.

Posted By: Shezamumof3
Date Posted: 02 March 2008 at 6:29pm
Yeah getting the hcg done really does ease your mind, even though mine was going up I still had the scan cos I was still getting brown stuff.

Yeah i though daniel was early, i bet I'll go over due though! lol i just have a feeling..

-------------

Posted By: kebakat
Date Posted: 02 March 2008 at 6:34pm
Yeah I'm getting a scan done anyway because my doc wants me to which is cool by me.

I thought I'd go overdue with Daniel but didn't and I sooo put it down to taking prebirth spray. As soon as I started taking it I started getting lots of niggles which I hadn't had any of previously. I'm going to take it again, I refuse to go overdue

No more hcgs now...just waiting for the 6 week scan.

Hope you all have a good day. I'm tired, feeling emotional and a little unwell after last nights migraine (I get them in the first trimester until the hormones settle down then again about 6 weeks after birth). Funnily enough I feel peaceful and happy about feeling blaaaaaaaaa as it's a good sign.

Hi Aussiemum. That'll be your ligaments preparing for the pregnancy. I had that really badly with Elle. I also had it with the miscarried pregnancy which must've primed my body for this one as I'm not getting it this time. I remember it was unbearable with Elle!

Very tired here too. Feeling a bit hormonal and have all day heartburn.

Good morning ladies!  Am cautiously popping my head in here to say a shy hello, after taking 4 HPTs over the last 3 days, this mornings test confirmed that I am about 4 weeks pg (not sure of actual due date as my cycles have varied from 28-32 days the last 6 months or so!). Think I am due about 14 November though.

I'm in a state of shock that this is finally happening! Anyway I look forward to getting to know all of you better and hopefully you can help answer some questions for me about pg as they come up!

BellasBabyMum- you said last night I think that crampy type feelings were normal....I'm still getting them on and off  Not bad like AF cramps, sometimes are just twinges in my lower abs which feels like stretching, sometimes heaviness or bloating and then sometimes kind of like early-on AF cramps. Is this normal??

Yep all normal for early pregnancy, I was SO bloated and had a bit of cramping in the first few weeks before MS kicked in.
Ad long as there is no bleeding and no really bad sharp pain then ur ok

Thanks guys. did any of you find out you were pg before your period was due? I'm on cycle day 30, and have had faint BFPs since day 28. My cycle's anywhere between 28-32 days. Does this still count as a pregnancy if I found out beforehand (if that makes sense!)?

Yay Emmecat! Welcome! If you got the positive tests then you are. My doc said some pregnancy tests pick up hcg as low as 10 or 15 (although they don't market them that way) so they do pick up very early pregnancy hcg :)

I tested before my period was due with both pregnancies and got faint BFPs (well this one was a strong one).

A heavy pelvic feeling is totally normal and I had that with this one...I was so sure AF was on it's way.

I had another migraine this morning. Will probably get 1 or 2 a week until week 9 or so like I did with Elle. They settle when the hormones level off.

I have a scan on Wed and so hope we see a heartbeat!!

Thanks for your replies guys. I'm not feeling that great today physically...surely can't be ms kicking in already?! Mind you just had quite a few kids around for a party so that may well be the cause haha

Still have that heavy feeling in my lower abs...not quite cramps but almost like I might get cramps soon... hard to explain!  Hopefully that's normal?!

I get my bloods back on Monday and am scared they won't show any HCG. That doesn't sound logical I know cos I've already done 4 HPTs, all of which have had a faint line...todays much darker. So there must be something in my system?!

Good morning ladies

Well I am going to try adn make an appointment at the Dr's today so I can find out the results of Fridays blood test (which will prob be very low seeing as it was only cycle day 28), and get another so we can see if levels are rising etc. FIngers crossed! Am very very tired and have enormous bbs haha so maybe those are good signs! Also nausea now and then so hopefully that means my bean has buried herself nice and deep.

At this stage should I be v concerned about what my HCG levels are? Or just that they're doubling every few days? Will the Dr advise me to get bloods done regularly to reflect this?

Also at this stage is it wise to get onto a midwife or do I wait for later? And final question....shall I ask about a 6 week scan? What are they looking for at that first one?

Thanks for your help
