Well, I'm going to be the first to join the November thread!

I think my EDD is 2nd November but needs to be confirmed by scan as I had a long cycle so LMP is probably not accurate to count from.

I've got the scan booked for 16th March which will be 7 weeks - heard 6 weeks can be too early to hear the heartbeat so don't want to go through that stress.

So far I've had bloods done and seen MW - so far so good. Haven't been feeling too bad, a bit seedy off and on (although last 2 days have been pretty good) and also feeling a bit tired.

How is everyone else getting on? Hopefully there will be some other November babies to join me soon

I'll join you soon. Dont want to get my hopes up to much yet, so will be asking for a scan etc when i see the doc today.

Due date is 5th November going by LMP (but 8th Nov if O date = DH birthday )

I am sure there will be a couple more ladies joing us soon.

Oh yay - thanks for setting this up for us Emma!

Hi everyone! I am due 2 November too (same as Jane25!) going by LMP dates.

I haven't seen my GP yet, I can't get an appt as I work in town and they are up the coast and its hard to get an appt on my days off (Wednesday). Need to have bloods, which they have sent me the form for and I forgot to bring in today (so will do that tomorrow). Would like a scan about 8 weeks so was thinking I would take an afternoon off work to make an appt with my GP to get a scan referral.

I am going through Michel Sangalli (OB) rather than a midwife. Its because I had a few little things in my last pregnancy that were a bit worrying and it just feels right to go through a specialist again.

I already have the other thread going about symptoms because I was getting worried but I think I am worrying about nothing (fingers crossed anyway).

And I hear you Kicker about getting hopes up. Fingers crossed we all have happy healthy pregnancies!

Kicker, my wedding anniversay is 8th Nov and DH's birthday is 16th so either of those dates are possible for us!

I know what you mean about not wanting to get your hopes up. It's hard cause I want to be really excited about it but can't really get too excited until after the 12 weeks or so.

I made an appt with my GP on Monday (am having the day off so I can go) to get my blood results and a scan referral for about 7 weeks.

Am feeling mighty seedy today. Taking that as a good sign (who imagined feeling sick could be a good thing!)

Unforunately tho my tummy has been really upset these past 2 days. I woke up at 3am this morning with crampy tummy (not baby related tho) and had to sit on the loo for about 15 mins. I must have eaten something dodgy.

Hello Ladies,
My name is Brianne, we found out we were pregnant last Thursday and we are due 8th November!!
I am so excited, what do i need to do now? I did go to my doctor and she told me to find a midwife,
I am on cloud nine, i had to stop the car the other day and have a vomit on the side of the road all i could do was laugh,

Congrats Brianne!! And welcome to the November thread

Poor you having to vomit like that I have been feeling seedy but haven't actually vomited yet. I am actually feeling quite seedy this morning but it's so off and on.

You will need to get blood tests done and they usually refer you for a 7 week (approx) scan to confirm due date, check heart beat etc. When you go to see your midwife they will give you all the info though.

There are instructions on how to get and load a ticker in the admin section here:

Congrats and Welcome Brianne! Stink about the vomiting but take it as a good sign! Its nice to see some more people joining us - keep em coming!

Jane - how are you feeling now? I had a day like that yesterday but today, well, you wouldn't think I am pregnant - no symptoms at all today (except sore boobs if I touch them!). I have a feeling its gonna kick in next week tho as it did with DD1.

I decided to do another POAS today - its great that the test line is darker than the control one. Yippee!

Doctors tomorrow morning to get blood results and a scan referral, am hoping for one the week after next sometime.

Thanks Kirstin!

I've been feeling a bit crampy and generally tired the past few days - keep thinking when I go to the toilet I'll see blood and keep thinking I'm gonna m/c again, but fingers are crossed! Haven't really felt like being sick yet, just feeling 'blah'!
Having another lot of bloods done tomorrow, so hopefully my levels have risen to about 20000 - which is the avg level for about 6 weeks.

I was crampy earlier on but the cramps seem to have stopped now.

I've been feeling seedy all day but not so bad I need to spew. I've been a bit grumpy this afternoon...haha poor DH. I keep looking in the mirror and trying to decide if I'm starting to show a bit or if it's just fat hehe.

I was going to buy a test and poas today just for reassurance but talked myself out of it since I have my scan in a week

Hi Brianne welcome to the Nov 09 mummies

Well i have been working all weekend and after being on holiday for two weeks and feeling very bloated, from being pregnant (not all the ice cream i have eaten) it was a loooonnngggg weekend.

Curious - i POAS today too just to confirm as the other 6 sitting on my dresser with two lines obviously dont confirm it enough for me. In my defense i do have a box of IC in the cupboard, although i only have about 20 left.. hahaha

Good luck for your scan Emachan let us know how you get on. I feel the same way with thinking that everytime i go to the loo i will see blood, i think i am not going to fully relax until i pass the 12 week mark (as i m/c at 11w6d last time).

So apart from feeling bloated the odd passing feeling of wanting to vomit i am feeling okay, last two pregnancies i didnt get ms until 7 weeks so i am sure i am going to get it soon.

Due Date List
EmaChan - Late Oct/Early Nov
Lee_Jon - 2 Nov

Hey, just been for my 2nd blood test - gonna be a long wait til the results come in tomorrow! Lucky I've got a busy day to take my mind off things!

Quite tired this morning as Lily still decided to wake up during the night for a feed and also having to get up a couple of times to the loo! (But still not as tired as when you are breastfeeding every few hours with a newborn - oh the things to look forward to again!!)

Morning everyone! Great news Brianna!

I know how you feel emachan - I have an appt today at 11.30 with my GP (my first one since getting preggers). I have had a small amount of brown discharge this morning which made me go "oh!" but if I didn't have the appt already I would be freaking out. I have had bloods done already so will get those results but not sure if I will be requested to have more.

Am feeling sick. But in a strange way am glad of that fact!

Well, things are fine, as far as I can tell. Bloods were awesome numbers for nearly 6 weeks and the doctor assured me that its totally normal to have some spotting around the 6, 8, 10 and 12 week marks. As long as there is no pain and its not bright red (which its not) then she is happy things are ok. She also said that there is nothing you can do to stop a miscarriage so if that was going to happen to be assured I did nothing that would have caused it.

She also gave me the referral for the NT scan at 11 weeks. I have to have one as my risk last time was 1:55 and I will probably have another CVS or even an amnio this time too. I am not worried about it at all - it wasn't that bad.

I am ok, sooo tired now. Thinking about making DD have a nap soon so I can! I am home today with her, its nice. Back to work tomorrow tho.

Glad everything is all ok CuriousG.

Are you having the 6/7 week scan too? Also are you having the blood test for Downs etc or just the scan? Apparently the blood test is much more accurate than the scan. I'm a bit confused about all that stuff at the moment, luckily there is a bit of time to think everything over.

I'm feeling seedy again today...had a junk food craving so just had nuggets and chips from McD's. So bad - I never usually eat McD's!!

I've just been discussing the Downs tests with my OB - apparently the scan is 70% accurate and it you have the bloods it takes it up to 85%. I didn't really ask about the amino as I can't bring myself to have one of those.

Am not having the 6/7 week scan - she didn't refer me for that. I get the feeling she doesn't deal with too many pregnancies!

I will probably opt straight for the CVS - I had one last time. Depends on what my OB thinks based on the scan results this time.

Had my bloods back today - 21075hcg which is pretty much just over 6 weeks - so am still in the running for a Oct baby if I decide to have an elective c-sect, instead of VBAC, otherwise a Nov baby! I really can't remember when my LMP was, so am just going by average HCG levels. I guess when I have my 12week scan I'll find out another estimated date!

Stink Lee-Ann - I haven't had much sickness yet just a bit seedy although I ate something and felt much better. I am sooooo tired tho, could happily nap under my desk. Good luck with the midwife appt! I am really paranoid about having a mc although I havent ever had one before. I have to wait till 12 weeks to have a scan though. Are others having earlier scans? Are you entitled to them or do you have to ask? I can't remember from last time!

Awesome hCG results Emma.

I'm having a 7 week scan next Monday. My GP referred me for it when I went to see him after I just found out I was PG. It might be since I was unsure of dates since I had a long cycle - he didnt say so I just presumed it was a normal thing to have a scan then. I just want this week to hurry up so I can have my scan...so impatient!!

I'm still seedy off and on but not mega sick. Really tired though - been going to bed at 9:30 each night. Poor DH must get lonely

Hi there

Great to see there is some support around. I am very new at this - both on the website and pregnacy! Found out I was pregnant end of last week. Think (if my calculations are right) I am due 14 November. Have an appointment with GP today. Anyone else first timers?

Welcome fluff and ShelliN.

Fluff i have had a terrible time trying to sleep the last week, weird dreams too.

Things are going okay with me, looking forward to my scan in a weeks time to make sure everything is progressing. I think i will relax more after that.

The tiredness is kicking in now, no ms yet but it is probably just around the corner. With my other pregnancies it kicked in around the 7 week mark until about 11 weeks. My one problem and sorry if TMI, bunged up, no number 2s for me and it a PITA Might see if there is anything i can take, as i feel very bloated too.

Hows everyone else going??

Laura

Oh yay! Some more November babies! Congrats to all who have joined us in the past couple of days!

I am the same, some waves of nausea, really tired and really sore boobs - sometimes the occasional headache. But whoa - the dreams - well....they are certainly vivid!

Am waiting for the full on MS. Like you Laura, I think its not far away.

I have been eating licqorice and that is helping with my bunged-up-ness. I am also craving all the bad stuff - Maccas seems to be a favourite. Doh!

I lost the fight (or won depending on how you look at it) - and frozen cokes make me feel sooooooooo much better!

Pretty much what you are experiencing is normal, I had crazy dreams first time around too. The morning sickness might be yet to kick in properly - last time I had it from about 6-10 weeks. I have it a little this time but certainly not badly *yet* - if it gets no worse that would rock!

Hi all.

I'm due in the beginning of November. Will find out for sure when on Friday cos I'm having an early scan.
My last pregnancy was with twins and I miscarried the first one at 5 weeks and at 9 weeks when I had a scan the second baby was ectopic. We were broken, we'd been ttc for 2 years. We have 2 daughters already - Ella 2.10.97 and Gabi 20.06.05.

I'm a first timer so it's all the unknown for me.....and I also have been having really weird vivid dreams!

I had a bit of a freak out today - my nieces and nephews have got chicken pox and I couldn't remember if I have had them, plus I have some things on my neck which are probably zits (seem to get more zits being pg) but started thinking OMG I've got chicken pox!! I phoned the Midwife and she sent me away for bloods to see if I'm immune so fingers crossed all is ok. I never knew being pg could be so stressful!

Man its so cold! And on top of it, I have a cold.

Feeling pretty ratsh*t actually but I think its because of the cold rather than anything else. I slept so badly, my daughter decided to sleep with us and she is all arms and legs - grrrr.

Yay for a day with a red nose and blowing it like no tomorrow. Not. Pity party here today.

Hi Everyone!

I need your advice....

Well, this is my first time….. I only found out on Tuesday that I was pregnant and the only reason I thought I better test myself is because I was three days late and wanted to be safe so I could have a wine with dinner (to celebrate our anniversary) – it came back positive and I nearly fell over!
Quite mixed emotions as I thought I had mucked up the ovulation dates for Feb (and Jan) so didn't think in a million years that it would be positive! Now, I'm stressing out in a big way as I'd being drinking 1-2 glasses most nights with things on for the last two weeks (as I thought I could feel my period coming on as I get bad PMT a week before) and last Saturday had a wedding (which ended up being a big night….). I never thought I would be pregnant as I had all the signs of my period due. Now I know that those signs where pregnancy, but with the horrible cramping, sore boobs, I thought I was safe with it being due. .. I had no idea :-(
Been to doctors yesterday as was so worried and due 12 November. Still waiting on blood results. I should be so excited but I’m so worried and ridden with guilt with drinking in between… Is anyone else in the same boat or can offer some advice?? I’m so disappointed as I’ve been doing everything right. We started in January and I didn’t drink at all in January, nor for most of the month in February until I discovered I’d mucked anything up, I was so upset and thought it wouldn’t matter having a wine or two as thought my period was coming.. :-( ahhhh!!!

Oliva calm down everything will be ok, its not like you knew you were pregnant, you are only just pregnant so I doubt you would have done any long term damage,
What is important is that you do everything right now that you know.
Relax and be happy yay your pregnant! Congrulations to you both,
Think and act positive
I must admit it was our first month of giving it ago I wasnt expecting to get pregnant straight away so I had a glass with dinner two nights before I ofund out, so your not the only one! and it doesnt make you a bad mummy oxoxoxox

Hi everyone,

1stBABY4me - with regards to the drinking, i think at the very begining stages of pregnancy the baby gets all its nutrition from the yolk sac and doesnt even share your blood supply at the time, so having a couple of drinks when you did shouldnt have any impact so stop feeling guilty.

Brilee thats a shame about not getting saturday off. I understand about the tiredness. I have been back from holidays for a week now and feel like i need another

ShelliN - i am just glad that i got pregnant at the end of summer and dont get my hayfever at this time. I was like you last time with my daughter, it was terrible. Hopefully it wont last too much longer for you as we are moving into winter.

YvetteandElla - welcome.

I wouldn't worry about it Olivia - there are lots of people out there who drink (not knowing they are pg) and have babies that are perfectly fine. A friend of mine had 2 big nights out while unknowingly pg and her baby is fine. Also my friend who is a nurse said they don't take anything off you in the first few weeks so you should be ok. I totally know what you are feeling though. I had had a huge night at a friends wedding and a few days later I thought I might be pg and it was a horrible feeling.

Stressing about it will only be worse for you and bubs though so just remember there are lots of people in your situation who have babies that are fine

Oh and welcome to the thread

Thanks Brilee and everyone who replied, I'm just shattered. I always try and do everything right and can't believe I stuffed up by two silly weeks of drinking - not thinking I could possibly be preg.. Its not so much the odd one, it was wedding where the damage may have been done. I'm due see a specialist in a couple of weeks I think so will be able to have a good chat then. Thanks again for replying :-)

Hi Olivia - welcome!

I had a HUGE night out on it with my first daughter, before I knew. I was rather tipsy that night but shattered by 9pm (now I know why).

My daughter is bright as a button and has nothing wrong (I had a CVS to test for Downs at 13 weeks and everything was a-ok so I assume that any alcohol related thing would have been picked up then)

Brianna - thats stink. I have to work 7.30 till 7.30 tomorrow which kind of sucks too but at least I can sleep in on Saturday (well, as much as my nearly 3 year old will let me!)

CuriousG - You may have already said but I can't remember Did you have a CVS because of a high risk scan or doctors recommendation or was it just for your own peace of mind? Also how did you choose between CVS and Amnio?

I had the CVS because of high risk scan it came back at 1:55, which is out of this world for a 26 year old. I am fully expecting to have a crap result again, which will be higher I expect due to me being 30. I am thinking something like 1:25 or even 1:4. I think my babies have 'fat necks' although DD wasn't born with a fat neck (I remember getting the result that she was ok and turning to DH and saying "its your fault, you have a fat neck") lol!

I was booked for amnio but the membranes hadn't fused so I had to have the CVS instead. I ain't gonna lie, its not that pleasant but for peace of mind, it was worth it. Its not very painful just very very disconcerting having a giant needle through your abdomen.

Thanks for doing the list Kicker - it's good to see all the people who are in here.

I rang my MW this morning and yay! she's free again so I have her all booked in.

I agree with all the other mums, I wouldnt stress about the drinking, when I had my first son I didnt know I was pregnant, and we had had a few busy weeks of functions & drinking etc... I felt so guilty and worried for a long time but my specialist told me he would be fine and he was !! totally fine !!
