I hate to call it training, cause it isn't really anything you can control or even influence but...

we had our first dry night last night. well, i lie, we had had a few dry naps, but last night was the first night I trusted him without his nappy. and thats a big deal as lately he has been crawling in with me.

Jake was soexcited not to be wet, so we are just waiting til 9am and we can ring the rellies.

question: do you think we should "reward" this - you know, stay dry for 10 nights and get whatever?

I am a little mixed. on one hand it could be celebrating becoming a "big boy" but on the other hand, i really think night training is something that just happens, rather than something deliberate on the child's part. - which means by rewarding the dry days, he may feel bad when he inevitably DOES wet....dunno

but am stoked at the thought of no night nappies.

No, but you could give him a one off treat to show how proud of him you are...

Once Andrew doing it regularly we did a sticker chart of staying dry at night and then at the end he got a DVD of his choice.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!
