Topic: HELP ....... Posted: 08 May 2007 at 3:52pm |
Hey I am having my first baby a boy in August and I thought I had my mind up on which nappies to buy!! was gonna go with snazzipants fitted nappies. But I went and had a demo on fuzzzibuns pocket nappies and they looked really great!!! and if I buy from the US it's about $100 cheaper for an 18 pack of fuzzibunz compared to buying them here, But it is such an investment I have no idea!!!!! can any of you help especially since most of you have your babies already and are actually using these nappies. Thabks so much :)

I personally prefer pocket nappies simply becuase they are faster drying, I find them trimer, you can adjust the absorbancy and you don't have to worry about covers.
And yes it is true that it's cheaper getting Fuzzi's in from the US but then you also don't have the benefit of a local agent who is able to look after you but doing a proper fitting and sorting any any issues you might have with the nappies.

Congrats and welcome hunieb.....I am in the same boat as you...due in August too. I fell in love with swaddlebees and want to eventually go with them but I am a bit worried about how big, small my babies butt will be so I have decided to try prefolds to start with and then move into a pocket after that....in fact they arrived the other day and I was in heaven (silly huh?)
Goodluck with your pregnancy....check out the Aucgust mums to be thread and also add your name to the due dates list (actually just post a reply with your name, due date and whether you know what it is and some lovely person magically adds you to the list).

Whereabouts do you live hunieb? You could have a sneek peek at someone's MCN that they are already using?
It's tough buying nappies before bubs is born. If you have self-control, I'd recommend putting the money aside and buying after baby is born. Then you have half of your questions about size etc answered properly.

Kryssi loves her milk and outgrew her small Fuzzis at 3mos
I've been pretty self-controlled with purchases so far. I have 10 smalls, 6 that fit Kryssi and 6 that fit Briona. Not bad I think! In saying that though, I've just ordered one last set to get me through winter - so the nappies aren't used back-to-back with little drying time.
