So when exactly should we be BDing?
I know of course you should when you OV but when I got a +OPK we did it that day and the next day but not the day after that.
Just wondering if the more experienced TTCers could give me a better idea of the right time to do it?

Trouble is I wasn't trying for them and was on the pill and stuff so when it comes to actually trying I'm just still guessing in some areas

just bumping this up as I have read so many books telling you when is the best time etc. I didn't know about the 5 days before!!!!

What about frequency? What does everyone else do? every day/night or every other?

I'm determined to get pregnant within the next 6 months to avoid the laparoscopy LOL so am researching everything!!! LOL

With Andrew it was an every night thing (you know young love ). But Josh was our one night wonder (sorry probably not what you want to hear).
I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

probably not what you want to hear.....but both our kids were 1 night wonders......or perhaps the 2nd night.....i think every 2nd night is best to BD.....both my kids were conceived the week after my period ended..

The rest of the time we had "special cuddles" on alternate days....for all the good it did! *snort*

My doctor suggested every second day starting from day 8 of cycle through till day 21 - this seemed to work for both my pregnancies - good luck!

When we were with fertility associates they said every second day. However, they said that if your DH has a good sperm count (which mine does) then every day is ok.

Every second day is usuallly enough.

How long approx is your cycle Toni?

We conceived from BDing every day from about three days prior to ovulation to two days after. DH was always pretty happy about that.

If you are using OPKs, a positive means ovulation is about to occur within 12 - 36 hours. So as soon as you get your positive I would be BDing that night and then at least every second day.
