Hope - that's wonderful news!!
With this pregnancy, I spent my first trimester at times bent double, others hardly able to walk, bleeding on and off, and in and out of my OB's office, but the kid is doing fine. Sometimes our bodies do terribly frightening things to us and it's horrible. I remember doing my first emergency scan and the nurse telling me, very gently, that they weren't expecting to see a heartbeat. There was a lot of laughter in the clinic that day when we saw No.9's heart going 19 to the dozen.
All the best!!!

Hi guys, I went in for more bloods this morning before work and then at 12.30pm I got a call from the hospital saying my hCG was over 2000 and I had to go to ED for an emergency scan.
I went straight there - but had to wait a few hours - excruciating!!
I had the scan and .... its in the right spot!!
When I found out I just burst into tears, I was so relieved and DH looked pretty relieved too! Had a yummy celebratory dinner and a non-alcoholic toast!
Apparently the pain I was feeling was from the corpus luteum cyst on my left ovary. It was really sore when the scan technician pressed on it!
Am really happy of course but still apprehensive. Am having groin pain tonight - anyone experienced anything like that this early on??

Waaahoooo!!!!
You are probably getting the stretching pains that lots of people are asking about at the moment. It can happen on and off for the next few weeks and is nothing to worry about.
I'm so glad you got the answer you were hoping for.

Yay, thanks ladies!
I'm still petrified, but hopeful now!
Oh and I forgot to mention - I ovulated and conceived on the same side that I had my ectopic - so good to know the tubes are all good

That's great news Hope, corpus loteum is what i have on my right ovary. It gets better after the first trimester but mine is still sore now and again. Ask them to check it again for you at the later scans if you are still sore. They checked both my ovaries for me yesterday just to be sure.
Yeah the groin pain sounds like ligaments stretching, you might get some feelings like your period is about to start as well and those are normal too.
