Hi,

DS has a great apetite and has always been really easy to feed, up to a week ago he was eating 3 meals a day and we couldn't get enough in him.

He had breaskfast followed by a bottle, then lunch at 11 if we could hold him off that long, with just water, a bottle and snack mid arvo and then dinner and big bottle before bed.

We arrived back from the UK a week ago and he is just not bothered at all, will not be fed, so I have tried finger food but he has two bites and then messes around.

Just when I am about to give up he seems to open his mouth again like he wants feeding but then takes a tiny bite.

HELP - he is still drinking his 3 bottles ok and is not starving but I don't see how he isn't as he has gone from eating loads to a couple of mouthfuls, I have tried old favorites and new things, lumpy things, smooth things you name it, but not keen.

is this a phase or his age? Or something else

Dont' stress too much and just keep offering and don't make a big deal of it, if hes hungry he will eat.

Ok that helps, I am trying not to make a big deal of it, but its such a turn around.

Should I keep offering spoon fed food, or just stick with finger foods, do they make the change totally?

I'd offer spoon, if he doesn't want it then give finger foods, that's what we always did

Ok, so a succesful meal time, and again its cheesy veg that did it, it seems anything with cheese is a hit, anything without is not

But I suppose the fact he ate a whole bowl of brocolli, cauliflower, peas and sweetcorn is the main thing.

Babies are a little mystery.
