i have been getting irregular periods for a few months now since having a m/c.

I had spotting for 6 weeks over march, then 1 normal af & its been 2 weeks & ive got af back again. I have been calculating when i should be ovulating & the day i was about to i get my af :(

Is there anyway to make your af regular or to know if im ovulating?

I had symptoms that i was ovulating, then got my af so i guess it could have been a sign it was arriving.

Any ideas what i can do, i might try a herbal supplement but thought id see if you ladies can help first?

I have been to doctor, nothing is showing up as wrong so they havent suggested i do anything :(

well the only sure way to know that you have ovulated would be to get some BT's done. I think the normal thing is to get a BT at CD7 then again at CD21 (or 7DPO if you think you can pinpoint when you might have ov'd)

I'm no expert on irregular cycles but I recently had a mc and the doctors all said worse case scenario is that it can take up to 6 months for AF to regulate. I know that's not news you wanted to hear but it may just take a bit longer before things settle again.

Patience is not my strong point so understand if you want to try and control as much as possible to bring things back to normal.

Vitex is a well known natural supplement for regulating hormones to help with periods. It may be worth reading up on or asking your doctor about. I would definitely ask them to do BT's to check you are ovulating if you have concerns about that, there's no reason for them to not want to check that for you.

Hope things balance out for you soon and you get a nice sticky wee bean

Vitex!! That's what I used after my m/c (before conceiving Chelsea) and got preg 2nd cycle of using it. It stopped all the random bleeding and helped me to ovulate. You can get it from most health shops I think - well that's where I got mine from anyway. I'm about to start taking it again too as am having lots of random spotting now too

I think it was around $30 for 60tabs (so two months worth). That was 2yrs ago tho so prob gone up in price by now! I got given some for this time tho so haven't had to buy any Hope your next cycle is normal so you don't need to try it!
