Since changing Jackson over to solids then BF at 8 months the last few days he has decided to drop his lunch feed. At first I thought it was him having a tantrum when I offered booby after lunch solids but its continued for a few days now.

Anyways, I am still offering a 3/4pm feed which he will still take but its generally only one side, he has always fed from both sides at each feed. So what do I do about the exploding other booby?? Is expressing my only option? I would prefer not to cos if he's naturally dropping feeds I dont want the issue with ongoing supply, if that makes sense, and having to continue expressing.

What can I do for relief and to avoid pain when they are exploding?

Maybe just express a little off to ease the pressure and they should adjust naturally in a few days...

When SIL stopped bfing she said she just expressed enough to ease the pressure and discomfort and it went back to normal in a few days

I would express a little then just make sure that I offered that side first at the next feed

Yeah, maybe just hand expressing a wee bit to ease the pressure. In a few days to a week your supply should adjust
