Is there anyone that can help me? It is just over a week till my period is due and a few days ago I experienced some light pink spotting while wiping. It would come and go when I went to the toilet. Over the next few days I continued to get it and now it has turned dark brown and there seems to be more of it coming when I wipe. I am so confused, my periods are regular and not due for another week? Has anyone experienced implantation bleeding that has lasted longer than 2-3 days? I also have very sore breasts, cramps, extreme thirst, dizziness but all of that could be attributed to PMS....

as far as I can tell I think I ovulated on the 22nd Jan which means that the pinkish colour was on the 6th DPO and now it is the 10th DPO and still going on

anyone got any advice or had this happened to them before? Still going on with no signs of stopping, only brown now, not at all like a period and not getting any heavier. Took a preg test but it came back negative although still a week till my period is due. Just wondering if it could be early miscarriage or ectopic pregnancy?

Perhaps you could make an appt to see your dr and have a blood test done for HCG to see if you are pregnant.  If your not, then you can rule that out and investigate other causes.

I think its more than possible it can be implantation.  I had cramps from 10DPO last cycle and got a BFP at 14DPO.  That ended in early mc, but I have read that spotting and cramping are all signs.

Something else to think about is possible cyst from ovulation.  I have also had that.  Its when the egg releases quite violently from the ovary and fluid builds up in the follicle and turns in to a cyst.  Symptoms include, late AF, cramping, dizziness, spotting and nausea.  All symptoms of pregnancy.

Good luck Smile

As a note, I get spotting before I get my period some cycles. I'd probably just wait a week and see what happens - provided you're not in any pain, it's likely to resolve itself one way or another.
