My baby...not so much a baby anymore is going to daycare for the first time tommorow!! im sending him for socialising because kindy cant take him for a few months and hes driving me nutts asking to go to school!!
we took him for a visit on friday and had to pry him away to leave then he wouldnt talk to us all afternoon!!! so he obviously likes it im just having seperation anxiety! it feels like hes going to school to me!

Andrew has bene at the same daycare since he was 5 months old and we still get the seperation anxiety from him. Best way I have found to deal with it is give him a cuddle and a kiss and get him to give cuddles to his carer while I leave. He also gets the opportunity to wave bye from the deck which he sometimes does if he's not that upset. Once he is settled he is fine and sometimes I find it a struggle to take him home at the end of the day.

Amber, the best thing I found to do when I had a bit of separation anxiety after dropping Kiya off at kindy/school the first time(s) was to go and have a coffee with another mum!

Organise some grown-up time, and it might just help you feel better

Bailey sounds a little like Kiya... who ran in through the gate her first day of kindy shouting "Bye, Mum!" over her shoulder!
