Hi ladies,

I have been ttc since August 2012. On my second round of clomid..for irregular cycles (i do ovulate). I am 27 & married since Jan 7 2012. I paying for private through Barbara Richards in Dunedin at the moment as i don't make enough points for public funding yet. As we don't have a diagnosis. DH has abnormal morph and motility (but not severe enough to make more points..). I am on the list for lap surgery (in the next 6 months but no date set yet) as Barbara suspects endo. More of my details are on here i don't want to bore you all ;p http://castawaystork.blogspot.co.nz/

I love snowboarding and the outdoors! Love to laugh and looking to meet some ladies to go through this difficult journey.. Possibly even become FB friend!

I just don't want to feel like i'm the only person struggling!

Hi Snowbaby,

I live in Arrowtown and am also under Barbara Richards and paying privately. Don't feel like you're the only person struggling, there's a lot of us out there just have a read of some of the other forums on this site. I think the hardest thing for me is trying not to think about my infertility too much.

I'm 37 and we've been trying for 2 years to fall pregnant, had loads of blood tests and an hsg scan which showed no tube blockages. Only problem found is that I have low AMH 1.4 so not many eggs left and probably not good quality either. I have a 12 year old daughter and fell pregnant within a few months of coming off the pill and had an awesome pregnancy etc. Never thought I'd have trouble second time round, finally fell pregnant earlier this month thru IUI but miscarried.

Having to drive 3 hours to Dunedin for treatments etc is a bit of an extra challenge we have. Have you been booked in for your lap surgery yet?

Hi Tulip thanks for writing! How are you feeling? It has been a hard two days for me. Still sore cramps, i have to head back to work tomorrow. I am not going to do the lap anymore since i got pregnant, unless barbara recommends it. I just emailed her about my miscarriage so waiting to hear back. I have to go back to work tomorrow and i work at a baby store so i'm looking forward to keeping my mind off it all but also really nervous to break down at work! how many weeks was your miscarriage at? Do you ever come over to Wanaka?

Hi Snowbaby, gosh talk about making things worse working in a baby store you poor thing.

My miscarriage was early, I was having blood tests every 4 days after my missed period and the third test showed the level had dropped, then I started to miscarry a few days later. Wasn't nice having to phone radiology and cancel the 7 wk scan.

Hope your cramps ease up. I guess the positive side is that you did fall pregnant and I'm sure that will happen again with a healthy pregnancy next time. Hope work goes ok tomorrow for you.

Hi tulip, we had to cancel my 7 week scan today too! we were only a couple of days off! DH rang for me, coz i couldn't do it! Today we planted our memorial cherry tree with our little angel underneath. I am starting to feel a bit better cramp wise, i have taken 2 panadol today. Just been resting on the couch. Did you do anything to remember your baby? It definitely helps with the grief i feel.

What is your plan now? have you have a regular period yet? how long did they tell you to wait? i emailed barbara today but probably won't hear back for a couple of days.

I just hope my periods comes back soon and we can start trying again. The wait is probably what is going to be the hardest!

Hi Snowbaby, nice idea planting a tree. We didn't do anything like that and haven't told any family or friends either, not sure if that's the best idea or not.

I'm not sure how it all works afterwards, I'm assuming that when you start bleeding/miscarrying it's like the start of your cycle and that your next period will be in about 28 days. I spoke with the nurses and said I'd like to give IUI another try after my next period and they didn't say that was too soon. I guess you may be right and it might take a while before things get back to a normal.

A good idea will be to focus on getting better and then start looking towards trying again.

Hi @tulip you do in your heart what feels right as far as mourning your loss.

I have heard it can take 4-8+ weeks to get your period again depending on how far along you were etc. I think it just depends on the person and how much hcg you had in your system. I usually have really long cycles so i'm expecting it may take me a little while to get back on track :)

Let me know how your iui goes! :)

Snow baby I just read all off your blog pages - so sorry for your loss - he is watching over you both.

I was in tears - so moving, I have never been through it and can't imagine how hard it is.

I'm doing well - always waiting on something, 5 clomid cycles, 2 were iui and currently one week into tww
See Barbara on Tuesday

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your DH
Hugs
