I just bought some berocca as energy has been a bit low lately. I was just reading the back of the box and it says it has Phenylalanine which I know is in some cold flu relief pills and medication so not sure if it is ok for me to use?

Hi aroha - the best thing to do is ask your MW, I took Berocca with my last to pregnancies  my MW said that it is fine, something else you can try is complan, I have chocolate complan & I mix in a banana & it seems to perk me up, coz Im the queen of no energy, Hehe. Maybe ask your MW to have a Blood Test done to check your Iron levels.... Good Luck

I think berocca is fine, I drank it throughout my last pregnancy.
As far as I know, phenylalanine is only a problem if you have PKU (genetic disorder).

phenylalanine is an artificial sweetner, so OK in small amounts, and Berocca isn't horribly sweet so I'm guessing that's OK.
