Books for girls 5+, help pls

Just was wondering what types of books those of you with older daughters have found they like most.

Paris is getting into chapter books and at the moment is really hooked on the Tiara club books, going through them in 1 day at the weekends, we are having to return to the library much more often just to keep up.

She isn't really too fussed at the moment on the whole Rainbow fairies books - which i myself think are pretty cool. She's happy to stick with the tiara club ones.... but there's only like 36 in the series and she's already getting up there, today she got 16-24 from the library so soon she'll be finished and wanting something else.

Anyone else have any other series that their girls read/are reading/have read that seems really neat, ie keeps their interest, is kinda all tied in together etc.. and very importantly - has a a fair few books to the series?

At the moment her reading level is that of the rainbow fairies books level, (not sure which age group that's aimed at.. maybe 6 - 8yrs.. she's on reading level 19ish at school) she is pretty good with that, just a few odd words here and there that challenge her, so suggestions around that kind of age group level would be great!

I really want to keep her as interested in reading as she is at the moment so have figured i will need to find something else to capture her attention.

Hmm sorry not too good on finding books for the littlies cos I teach big kids... it's great Paris is so into reading! My mum had a similar problem with me when I was a kid, cos I was always reading a few years ahead of my age, and read so quickly. She spoke with the librarian at the local library and asked for recommendations, the lady used to put books aside for me. So that might be a good place to start - also ask her teacher, she may well have a list of good books suitable for that age-group (we have a list of good books for boys aged 11-13 that we give to parents when they're looking for books to keep their boys reading).

kewl thanks Liz, have seen a few of those types around the library so might have to scope them out myself first.

There are some secret seven books (Enid Blyton) at the library which are cool.

Hannah's favourite series (she is also advanced in her reading) is the "Grandma's Attic" series by Arleta Richardson. I don't know how you'd feel about it as it is pioneer/Christian based, but it certainly is good moral material. They are also at the library if you want to check them out.
