Hi everyone
What clothing brands have you come across that fit really well over cloth nappies?
For me - pureborn organics have been really good. 3-6 mth clothes are still fitting ok at 1 yr old - they're short, but they still have room.
I'm getting particularly frustrated with jeans. We've been given or handed down about ten pairs, and few of them will go over her bum and do up round the waist.
any suggestions? Or do you just resign yourselves to wearing jeans the next size up, and rolling legs up?
Look forward to seeing your suggestions!
Lisa

So true, none of the jeans we've been given really fit. Usually I just don't bother with them, but I guess next size up would work. Lots of people seem to have baby 'jeggings', are they a bit roomier?

maybe, and maybe they're stretchy too - jeans are just really good because they are so durable and warm, and so are good for babies that like to crawl outside and around the garden! ;-)

I've never had a problem with clothing and cloth nappies. DS at 21months is still in 12 month clothes. We do use ittis though and when he was in pockets in the early days I had to size up his clothing.
I do use a onsie bumsie at night on his body suit though, but that is to go over a bitti boo, which is a bit bulkier

Bonds 'roomies' are awesome - lots of room for a bulkier nappy. I love my denim ones, because they're really soft and easy for Jacob to move in, I tend to find most baby jeans kind of stiff and uncomfortable-looking.

I never had a problem. I find that babies who wear jeans over sposies have half their nappy showing anyway... i just think that kids jeans dont fit well anyway. The thing to remember is that a cloth nappy will be the same size wet or dry but a sposie gets bigger the fuller it is so no difference really in getting to "fit".

I've not had a problem either, but like hopes I use itti bittis and don't like the look of most baby jeans. DD has a pair now that she's walking that are reasonably soft - from farmers I think - and they do up no problems. She wears a lot of trackies and leggings too. Leggings (including her jeggings) have plenty of stretch, but the trackies are warmer.

One thing I love about cloth is in summer she doesn't need pants at all, cos the nappies are so cute

I buy heaps of her clothes from kmart - they are pretty durable for daycare, and cheap enough that I don't care if she rolls in the paint...

ok maybe it's just a jeans thing in general... I use onesie bumsies on her bodysuits (the 3-6 months ones) but then I am pushing the sizing on that to the very limit!
I'll have a look at the Bonds stuff Hopes, thanks.

I've had no problems with clothing, but we also mostly use Itti's or grovias. Tom lives in his jeans- I've found the jeans with adjustable waist fit the best (e.g. PP). Also the nature baby drawstring pants fit really nicely- both the cotton pants and the cords.

Yep, I've come across the problem of being too short in the seat with clothes on Josh when he's in cloth - though admittedly it is mainly with more formal, structured type pants. Generally though I dress him in trackpants or softern, stretchier options which fit fine (he wears mostly Itti's but I also have some bulkier naps that I know to not even attempt to get jeans over!).

Wearing the next size up and rolling up the legs not so good here either, DS has short legs and I mostly have to roll the legs up on the 'correct' size as it is!!)

nature baby cords? brilliant. I didn't know they did them. Will go have a look.
All the other suggestions are great but it's the durability I'm keen on with the jeans... I guess I'll just keep working our way through the pairs we've got and see which ones work.
We have a bunch of different styles of nappies (pockets, snap-ins, fitted plus cover etc), but it doesn't really seem to matter which ones she's got on.

warning the nature baby cords are quite expensive- I managed to get a pair 2nd hand off trade me so its definitely worth having a look on there.

Onesie Bummsies are a great little extender to help bodysuits and domed singlets fit over a cloth bum
