Yeah sorry I am catching up on the posts so you probably are all healed by now and back to gymnastics, it takes me so long to catch up on here after the weekend when neil hogs the pooter and working Mon and Tues - I don't get OB breaks at work, might need to add into my contract
glad things are betternow, and keep up the good work

Kawww yeah I agree with Bombshell I think it's much easier to recover from the C when it's an elective as you haven't had the whole labouring thing first. That said I've been trying to do some exercise (more than just gentle walks) and I'm starting to feel twinges 8 weeks on.
I was made to take panadol and voltaren regularly for 5 days by my MW before I could just take it when I needed it. First thing I did was drop the voltaren as it was upsetting my stomach. I bled for two weeks or so and then it stopped and then it came back with a vengeance 3 days or so later so watch out for that.
yeah she warned me today that it hasnt gone for good....whats with that:(
yeah she made me take it then in my notes it said i was still taking it today so i might stop now.. last time i tried to stop was still in a lot of pain.. i hate taking pills:(!!!
awww kawwww your having a ruff time off it hun big hugs i had a c-sec after 14 hours labour and i was 10 cms so i know how you feel take it easy try not to worry and be kind to yourself the frist 6 weeks aruff as and to top it off ypur got a new baby to look after it sounds like you doing a great job big hugs again oh and hes very very cute
thankyou.....yeah its not fair being in pain as well as everything else..did our first outing today was exciting and scary and he slept through the whole thing..lol:) and i feel like crap but was great to get out!
well mine was a bit different..........i had emergency c....i had many problems .......first the actually had to put all the hand up me too push the baby out (taling rightup to elbow) it took them 20mins to staple me....unfortantly i was in hospital with major complications for 1 month and then another month released to in home care as i couldnt walk or hold baby and was still on high doses or morphine and 3 other high dose pain killers........and still breast feeeding through this (apparently the dose wasnt going to affect babes but im still not sure) my wound was still open on one side when my boy was 5mtns .........i also had a blood clot the size of a rugby ball and the weight of a baby.......i still have pain and my boy is 9mnths but i dont take anything for it.........i actually found the bio oil was the worse thing for my scar as i had major cramps with it but think i may be allergic.
Haven't read all of the posts to sorry if this is a double up, but I took HEAPS of arnica (oral spray) after my Emerg CS and I healed really well! Even surprised the MW and have had comments from my Gnae about how good my scar looks and that I must have had a good recovery lol.
Arnica won't help with the immediate pain, but it will help you heal faster so hopefully you won't be pill popping for as long.
another question...twice now - the first time on sunday after i had been to the arts centre and eaten there so assumed it was that.. I've had diareoa..massive tummy pains then toileting issues after i've woken up the first time to feed.. such pain that it makes me want to be sick and it goes away after going to the loo a few times (sorry wayyyyy too much TMI) .. the first time i told mw..i just assumed it was the food i ate...this last time was last night so haven't told her yet... i just got told the c section can cause scar tissue on the bowel?anyone had this..or any issues with toileting or stomach that resolved itself after a few weeks(he's three weeks tomorrow)..i feel fine afterwards so i assume its not actually something i ate..?
I had this as well. It could be haemeroids (sp?) or just where they push all your insides around to get to baby and the bowel just needs time to settle down.
I was asked by my MW if when I went #2s there was any blood or anything outside of the back passage afterwards and no to both for me so she didn't think it was haemeroids. The pain settled down after a while, probably about a month.
i have blood for the first time ever(had hemmies the whole pregnancy but no blood)...but the cramps etc are inside...like when you have food poisoning..its horrible:( only relieved by toileting... I'm hoping it settles down soon..i will mention to mw and at 6 weeks appointment..
I think you should check that out with your mw too. You haven't been overdoing it which has set off a new round of bleeding/cramping? Sounds a bit unusual
and the bleeding was once form hemmies 2 days before any of this.. then had two lots of cramps and diareoa and feel fine now except scar is s.. if it gets worse or i get cramps again i will ring her.. otherwise she's coming tuesday. if the bleeding was coming from inside believe me i would have rung her asap!
