Hi ladies!
I'm looking for some help from one of you gorgeous mummas if you're based in Auckland.
As part of my postgraduate study in child and adolescent psychotherapy, I need to link with a soon to be mumma and observe her and baby for a short time each week over the course of baby's first year. This helps me see from an outsider perspective (I have a little girl of my own - toddler now!) how baby grows, develops and forms attachment. The payoff for mumma is receiving some psychoptherapeutic observations about how baby is doing.
If you are at all interested or open to this idea, please let me know and I'm more than happy to provide more information. This process is all linked in with the head of faculty at AUT Dr Peter Slater so I am also happy to provide his contact details for added security.
Regardless, congratulations to you all with your upcoming additions! I must say I am very envious and can't wait to have another one day :)
Monique

Me again - sorry for the millionth post. I've just been added to a lovely April 2017 Facebook group who seem to be mostly Aussies. Find me on Facebook and I'll add you - good to get some kiwis in there too! Search Helen Steemson - I'm the only one.

Hi. I don't have FB account, need some advice. I am due in April17 and my midwife is not that supportive, whenever I ask her her something she will have arrogant answer. Now I am 35 weeks and thinking to change midwife, but feel it's too late. Live in West Auckland but registered to give birth at Auckland hospital. Should I change midwife now or it's too late? Please advise.

Oh I'm so sorry to hear that! It's not too late. You have the right to switch - and it's better to find someone you click with. Trying searching on here and then give some of them a call. I'm sure there will be someone who can help you. https://www.findyourmidwife.co.nz/
