Girls Rock- the 15% would be a guideline like the article says not a hard and fast rule. Of course if there are complications that warrant a cs they will do it regardless of whether it would put them over the 15%.

so I had my elective C-Section

39 weeks on the dot! I would go further next time though, she was too little. Mind you it was good we got her out as turns out I was leaking fluid for the last few weeks and she had lost weight since her scan at 37 weeks.

The staff were AMAZING, I couldn't have asked for better! Everyone was so helpful and supportive and made things as easy as they could.

The actual surgery itself was a bit freaky: the spinal didn't quite go right. I still had full movement on my leg and one side so had to lie still. Yelled when the catheter went in (not meant to feel it after a spinal) and then near the end on that bad side it wore off and I was starting to feel the pain. I didn't tell them though as I knew they couldn't do anything except do a GA and I had just met my baby so didn't want that! I just gritted my teeth and kept asking DH how long it was til it would be finished.

Overall, I'm so glad I had the C/S! Best decision I ever made I remember my daughter being born. I remember seeing her for the first time and kissing her sweet head. I got to see my husband meet our child and he got to hold her and focus on her rather than worrying he was gonna have to say goodbye to me. When she came out- people congratulated us. All the stuff we missed out on last time. Freakin awesome!!!
