Loading tickers

Right. I've decided I'm going to start a movement. I'm pretty sure it'll flop but I'm going to give it a go anyway.

It is called the 'Text only signature' movement.

It has taken me about an hour to load one page on this forum and after noticing other people commenting on how bogged down the site is getting I have decided to remove my ticker and instead paste it in here.

I love tickers but have decided I'd rather read what people have to say.

Ok, ok, ok, I did it too....

Good idea Nikki! We are trying to get our admin changed to limit the size of tickers coz some of them are taking too long to load, but having a few techical issues with that, so anyone who wants to voluntarily ditch their tickers, that would be marvellous!

I neeeeeeeeeed mine to let me know how preggers i am. (i forget...or at least put it out of my mind that I'll two of the little monsters running around soon!!)

ill be removing one of mine in 2 weeks but i wanna keep my preggo one its only little and i promise it will behave

Wow what a differnce this has made to the loading of pages on here. I really dont think the little tickers were making much of a difference. I had major trouble with all the big picture tickers.

ok so i admit - i didn't actually read this one, just kept skipping over it cos thought maybe was someone asking how to get them, lolol, sorry. I'll volutarily ditch the big ticker too - was beginning to feel bad cos i could never decide which kids one to put on.. and felt bad for the other one if they weren't on it. crazy i know. lol.

ok, if you go to your profile and down under the signature there is an option to use an avatar, you can choose one from the pics supplied or use the box and copy in the URL of your pic. the URL is the plain address of the photo you want to use. no code, just the http://www... address
