Topic: 18mth old left to die in the bush Posted: 20 December 2007 at 7:23pm |
Ugh..I hadn't heard about this one until I saw it online today and am horrified. All I can think of is this poor child scared and alone (assuming she was alive when the mother had left her), and then ending up struggling in the water. I think because Alyssa is almost the same age I find it hard to imagine her in that situation..

I know she helped the Police find the baby but at the end of the day, I'm a bit angry that she gets only 2 1/2 years for that.

the thing that gets me, is now when jake and Taine are hurt, they come to me. you see them coming with that look on their face that only a parent can "cure". so when the parent is doing the hurting, where do these kids go to? that breaks my heart

Story
Why on earth did she still have custody of her in the first place? She had had both her other children taken off her, had numerous drug convictions and had been smoking p for days leading up to the incident

I have absolutely no sympathy for this woman and I'm usually the one who gives people the benefit of the doubt. I hope she never has any other children. Her sentence was nowhere near long enough.

two and a half years? thats only a little bit more than her childs life please!
You take a life, you get life (well you should) and I dont mean 18 and a half years,I mean you leave in a wooden box.
Poor little thing, she must have been so afraid
