this is awful! Does anyone know what happened to the baby? They say she was 7 months pregnant but I don't know whether it's bad grammer, she had the baby or she lost the baby.

How freakin' awful that it happened in New Lynn, not far from where lots of us Westies live..
I found this part absolutely shocking as well
"No passers-by would help her in dark and rainy conditions. Eventually she went to a dairy, where a shop assistant would not help her until she'd served a customer.
"The lady had to tell her, `She needs more help than I do, I'm just here to get ice cream'."

OMG what shocks me just as much as the actual attack is that no-one was willing to help the poor woman, truly what has the world come to????

God that is so awful and scary! I hope her wee baby is ok and that she recovers ok too.
What kind of animal would do that to a pregnant woman?! (or anyone for that matter, but especially a pregnant woman)

but they said that after checking her over they sent her home, i thought that if her waters had broken, after 24hours she would have to be on antibiotics an hav to pretty much give birth???
i duno, but i think something sounds really fishy about it, IMHO

Nah, my waters broke and i didn't have the baby for another 3 weeks. I did have antibiotics but they could have just sent her home with some. I was kept at the hospital but that was because I kept getting contractions and because he was breach not because of my waters breaking.
