What sort of toys are you 4 - 5 year olds playing with? Boys and girls.

I can't really find much for Mia to play with in the stores - well not much that doesn't have anything to do with a TV/Movie character. Mostly i'm just stumped for ideas.

She's still really happy playing with baby dolls and dress ups and was just wondering if others have grown out of this by now.

Hi
The girls at Jakes pre school (4 plus) all seem to be into dolls, my little ponies, princesses, roleplay/dress up stuff. The dolls house is popular as well. Isn't it annoying when things plastered with bloody Dora (who I HATE) cost at least $10 more than non Dora stuff???
Jake plays alot with blocks, he loves puzzles and starting to get into board games and more involved/complex storied books. he is also really really into colouring in. I notice the girls are always really into this and painting at pre school, too.
The Honest Un PC Parent of 2, usually stuck in the naughty corner! :P

Just getting into writing. i got this book from the warehouse where he can write letters (trace really), with a whiteboard marker. thats great

Alia loves doing crafty things.

OMG memory game with cards is the thing she really loves!

5 year olds are really into colouring in. I guess as they learn to be more precise the more time they spend colouring in. Stickers too!! Alia loves making presents & spent the last half of last year making presents for bubs.

She loves making beds for her dolls, teddies. She has never been into dressing her dolls.

I haven't bought toys for ages. We got to the park or bike riding or scooter riding. But most afternoons are taken up with homework, some colouring in or tv, Dinner bath & bed.
