Topic: do you have surplus neocate? Posted: 30 July 2010 at 7:48am |
I am just wondering if anyone in the auckland area has any surplus neocate LCP (pink one) that they would sell me.
We are still waiting on our special authority number for Oliver and are onto our last sample can. The doctor has said he can't give us any more as he has givin us all of his supply now.
I will only be home until lunch time today and then i am leaving to go into the city for the night, so if you have any could you let me know before then as I live out in waiuku and don't know when I will be in the city next..
If you have a couple of cans you don't need i would be really grateful. at this stage i am thinking i will have to either give him the can of soy formula in the cupboard which he is allergic to or try goat milk until the number comes. (the doctor thought it would be ready by now, already been 12 days)
TIA..

I remember how frustrating it was waiting for the SA number. I ended up giving my baby it at half strength to make it last until my number came through. Have you tried calling the Nutricia helpline, to see if the rep can drop you off a couple of tins?
I've only got neocate Advance, which is for 12mths plus. Happy to give you a tin if you think it's better than nothing?

I just rang up the nutricia people and after being told to ring 4 different people i finally got through to the lady that handles the neocate and she said they can only give it to a doctor and not to the general public.
I will wait and see if anyone else has any cans of the baby one but if not would you be able to pm me your cell number and i can get in touch with you when i come into the city today because i have heard that goat milk can cause problems with allergy babies as well so the neocate advanced would probably be better then that.

If in doubt, dilute down to either 1/2 or 3/4 strength. He will still be fine on that. Some kids only tolerate weaker too so it's not as if it's a non go thing to do. I also have a tin here if you need one that I'm happy to post to you.
But as I said in the other thread. Phone your GP & get them to chase it up.
