So I tried the one nappy I have on DD today, it's a Baby First one. I only used 1 inner and after 1 1/2 hours she was soaked in one side. Could it be that it wasn't tight enough on that leg so leaked? And should I be using both inners?
She often sleeps for 3-4 hours in the day so I really need the nappy to last that long. I won't be happy if she wakes up soaked from every sleep.
Ditto. I swear i leaked every second nappy for the first few days. It takes a few tries to get the fitting sorted. You gotta make sure the nappy fits into the bum creases properly and you should just be able to get a finger between the leg and waist elastics - but not so tight it leaves marks. I would use two inserts too - and is the nappy new? Because they get more absorbant the more you use them. Don't give up!
I have a baby first nappy and it can be tricky to get the fit right. You will need to use both inserts for sleeps. I use 2 mine. You also might want to try some other brands. Good luck
I had another go with the baby first and I'm happy with the result. I used both inserts and changed her after 3 hours and it would of definitely lasted longer.
I can see how cloth nappies can become addictive :)
Im so excited to be able to use cloth nappies with baby two. The first time round my little fella was v prem and although Id considered it he was just too tiny for too long and 7 years ago there werent all the options we seem to have now.
This time Im reading and preparing and am about to launch into pocket nappies, Ive been adoring looking at the colours and designs and checking out what inners work best and when. So thank you all these threads are excellent. Last week I about to spend $370 on snazzipants but now I getting samples and $1 reserves off TM and its really cool! Bring on the baby.
