My C Section scar is quite raised and dark, I healed that way after my Section with Caden as well.
The surgen said to me after I had Bella that it might just be the way I heal   Boo!
So, apart from Bio Oil, is there anything anyone can suggest that helps with scars? I really hate it, I love that thats where my kids came from and all, but I hate that my scar hasnt gone into this faint silvery line like most peoples do

It could just be that it takes a while for your scars to "lighten up"
I had surgery on my arm almost a year ago and the 3 scars I have still havent gone silvery. They're still a lovely shade of purple/pink.

Some haemorrhoid cream can work on reducing scars, Prep H use to the one that lots of people used but I think it off the market now. Rosehip oil might help as well, but I think time is what helps scars the most.

I swear by Mebo restore! I used it with DS when he had a wicked scar on his face and it cleared it amazingly. Its still there but other people don'y notice it now and comment.
It is expensive but lasts forever.

It could be the way you heal sorry to say. My scars are all a dark purple sort of colour (and get really dark if I'm cold). I always thought it had something to do with skin pigmentation

My friend has some skin stuff from Le Reve, it smells great (lemon, lime and something else) and is really good on scars.

None of my other scars heal that way, just the c section scar
I just want to try something to see if It will soften it or fade it a bit thats all.

My c-sect scar is bright pink & lumpy, my other scars from mole excisions are dark purple & raised like you described, they're also on my legs so it's a bit harder to hide. I've been using bio oil too (which is vit e & rose hips etc like other people have recommended) with no luck except it turned my stretch marks silver pretty quickly. I've heard the le reve stuff is good too so I plan to try that next. The dermatologist I talked to said massage helps to "break the scar tissue fibres".

I had been using Bio Oil on C-Sec scar, and stretch marks but it did nothing. I got some Dr Lewinns Bio-Care Oil instead as my sister had started using it and found it great. It has made a huge difference! My scar is now a thin pale pink line and my stretchmarks have lightened considerably! It's also great for dry skin

Not sure where you are based but if you look up Hand Therapy practices, they should sell you sheets of silicon gel. You only need enough to cover the scar and one sheet lasts for ages. Its about $1 -2 $2 per cm2

Vitamin E cream worked really good for me. I have 3 big scars, from C section, hip and knee operations and they have all faded really good.

This would be my recommendation... I had hand surgery in Dec 05 (In UK) and the physio gave a me a wee strip of silicone gel. I had to massage the scar as often as I remembered (firm circular mostions) to help break up the scar tissue and put the gel strip on. I cant remember if it was 1 or 2 hours for the first day and then increase by that same amount each day for a week and then wear it for 23 hours. I wore it for a couple of months every day on my hand and only needed one replacement (because I lost the first one)...
My scar is pencil thin with NO lumps under the skin and completely flesh toned and was like this at my wedding in Nov 06 ( cant remember when exactly but know it was for the wedding so it took less than a year to completely heal without scar tissue).
It might be expensive but its worth it!!! I was just about to get some for my scar (was a bit worried about a large bit of scar tissue) but then found out I was pg again.. vbac or section I will be getting some once this baby is out!
