Topic: grunting while eating - reflux? Posted: 06 May 2011 at 6:46pm |
DS has started grunting and grizzling while eating solids, usually just dinner but sometimes lunch too...never breakfast.
Could this be reflux? When breastfed I managed to keep his reflux pretty well under control by not eating dairy and other bad foods for reflux. He's been pretty good lately, still can't do dairy but otherwise fine.

Not sure, didn't want to read & run. My boy just had major fear of food, wouldn't put it in his mouth.

His poo grunt is quite different, so no I don't think it's that, although I did wonder about that to start with.
He loves his food, has been eating heaps since first starting on solids...tries to keep eating through the grunting!

Have you discovered any more about this? My boy does the same thing lately if he's eating anything savoury, he doesn't really do it with breakfast food/fruit much. Im weaning him off losec now as his reflux is pretty much gone or so I thought, but this is baffling me a bit why he does it.
