I shouldn't really be complaining, as I have a beautiful baby girl (almost 4 months) who sleeps like a dream. However, I am finding that I get really bored during the day and I need to find some things to do to keep me and bubs entertained. We belong to a coffee group which is great, but there's probably a whole world of other neat things we could be doing that I just haven't discovered yet. I'd love to hear some suggestions, especially for mind stimulating things - housework is just not doing it for me!! My girl will not take a bottle, so I'd like ideas which will get us out of the house and which are baby friendly.

its never too early for mainly music - not overly stimulating but their are heaps of other mums to chat to who may give you ideas.

theres also the local library - most seem to run a preschool musical storytime. This is the link to the manukau library site... not sure where in auck you are.

theres swimming at the local pools, i think they can start on water safety at that age or soon anyway.

playcentres, might pay to start looking into them now.

maybe you could join a walking club, you get to meet other people and get fit, or the local rec centre for the same thing.

i'm sure others will have some great ideas too.
