My baby has a raised bumpy rash on the side of his face - he is 6 months old and had it for about a month, other simialar rashes seem to appear but disappear. The Doc has no idea i have used Antifungal, Bepanthan, PawPaw, Soraisis Creams and nothing seems to work. It is bright red but doesnt seem to bother him - any suggestions? I have eliminated foods and washing powders also - AAHHH its very frustrating!

That is exactly like what my son gets....when he eats the wrong foods. Have you started on solids? Start a food diary - I've found acidic things can do this i.e. tomato, pineapple, kiwifruit. If you are using the creams, and he is still eating something affecting him, creams will do nothing!

Do a google search for "Most allergenic foods" and it may give you a clue what to look for.

My son's diet may not help as he gets rashes from anything and everything!

My boy gets this from wheat, enriched rice milk (chickpeas)

His does tend to come up directly after he's eaten an offending food or had something which was contaminated by wheat.

Is it just one side?

Also is he B/F or formula fed & what is he eating, maybe fresh eyes might see a possible allergen?

Thanks for that - i have started my food diary today, the Kiwi is interesting im gonna watch for that and see if that is causing the rash! Yes his rash is just on one side, Collodial Silver seems to be calming it down at the moment. He is on Formula the same formula he has had for the last 3 months.....

Safe to say it's not the formula then And TBH it's so much easier when they're on formula to work out intolerances/allergies cause you don't have to run two food diarys!

Easiest way is don't feed him kiwi for about 3-4 days, see if the rash disappears. If not give it a week, if it still doesn't then chances are it is something else. If the rash does disappear re introduce the kiwi & see if it comes back. If it does then you've found your culprit. If you are using green kiwi and that affects him, try yellow fleshed cause it's more tolerated.

Just adding, could it be where he sleeps? My DD gets a nasty looking rash on one side of her face if she spews then sleeps on it..(She has reflux so its very hard for us to keep her bed dry sometimes!!) Or drools too much LOL!

But the same dd also has a full body pimply rash which is why opened your post, she is bf and I can't seem to pinpoint the offending food although I am (unfortunately) thinking it is a milk product
