Wow! That's nice and easy. Do you use a washing powder in the wash cycle and then add the vinegar or is the vinegar it? And do you find everything stays soft or do you need to add lanolin occasionally (that's something I've picked up by googling so not sure whether it's necessary)?
the cleaning lady on aussie tv says a few drops of cheap shampoo is the best thing for wool. I cant remeber her name. she had a show on tv for a while with lotsa tips and a few books and magazine articles.
I have those washing balls, darnit, have forgotten what they're called but they're white with blue foam rings and they last for ages. They're also really gentle so can be used for wool.
Otherwise I use a tiny bit of a gentle shampoo - my mum recommended that and she is a baby knitwear designer so I trust her on everything wool related.
