i've tried al sort of things they smell fine when washed but once she wees they are disgusting its not her wees cos ive even brought a new nappie to test that.
Ive warm washed, i've soaked in rn green ive cold washed .. only thing i have really done is line dry but no sun in wellington i'm hoping these will sort out once they get some sun ... any other ideas??
it is in the laundry aisle of the supermarket. There is a dettol 'hygiene rinse' that is more strongly perfumed, and canestan, both do the same job. $8-10 for a bottle, I use half a capful for a full load, and put it in the fabric softener dispenser so it gets used in the last rinse.
Really good if you have kids with bugs and germs and colds for washing with their clothes too.
I just toss a capful of dettol in with the wash every once in a while and that does the trick. To brighten them up I soak for a couple of hours in baking soda (this also helps with smell but not as well as dettol
Lotta do you mean ordinary dettol, or the laundry stuff?
I usually use the dettol laundry rinse stuff if the kids have tummy bugs, but I got a new washing machine that doesn't have the agitator bit in the middle and so no fabric softener dispenser so not sure how I will do that now. It does have a slot for putting liquid bleach but who puts that in their washing?!
