Topic: Dunedin mums? Posted: 16 November 2011 at 8:19pm |
hello everyone!
I am very new to this site (had my first issue of Oh baby this week). We are due March 16th with a little girl.
We moved from the UK to Dunedin early last year (having spent lots of time travelling round NZ) and are currently applying for our residency. We don't know too many people with children, let alone babies so if anyone is from the Dunedin area and wants to catch up that would be great

oooh yay! how exciting - i was hoping to get one or two replies :o)
How was your pregnancy been so far? Are you going to find out your babies gender?
i know of a few people due around the same time as me (2) but thats really it. Hoping to start to build a bit of a support network - it is hard when you have no friends/family around x

Hi ladies!! I grew up in NZ, in Wellington but have been living in the UK for the past 11 years and just moved to Dunedin last week and would love to meet up! I have a 1 year old and also pregnant with another due early next year and am definitely keen to meet some people in Dunedin. Hope you are both feeling good with the pregnancies and not too tired :)

Hello!
Sorry i have been absent; work has been crazy so been pretty tired most evenings.
nannakin i feel the same; i feel like i have had it pretty easy compared to some people!! i had nausea for about 4 weeks but only sickness once or twice - i have been really fussy with my food though and i am constantly tired. I am struggling not being near my family :( but i am lucky that we are going home for a month once baby is here.
GUEST_65584, Where in the UK were you? I am from Wiltshire and my husband is from Essex.
I have 3 weeks off over christmas/NY (go back to work January 16th) if anyone wants to meet in the NY?

Perfect- lets plan it for early in the New Year then :)
Bubs will be 3ish months when we make the trip back, and 5+ months when i come back over (on my own) hubs can only fly back for 3-4 weeks unfortunately.
Hopefully some more people will want to join us. Have you got your NCT classes sorted?

Hey!
Brilliant news that you are sleeping through the night!!
I'm finding it all good thanks - i am just over 30 weeks now. I am normally always cold so it makes a change to have warm hands and feet. I haven't found it too hot yet i don't think! Had a midwife appointment today and baby is breech, but not overly concerned yet.

My boy is 2 in March, but he loves all other kids.
