Hannah was my c/s girl. She was 2 days early, delivered by emergency c/s after I started haemorraging and her heart rate dropped (fetal distress). She spent the first night in neonates and at 7lb 3oz (the smallest baby I had ever seen) the nurses kept saying how big she was

Gabriella came via elective c section at 38 weeks due to a combo deal of bicorunate uterus, hormonal pregnancy fibroids and her being breech and refusing to turn from 28 weeks.
She arrived 9 pound 8. One fibroid also removed during c section. Had spinal epidural for the section. Was able to BF straight away luckily and feel like i have recovered far better than i would have ever imagined - and quicker - to mine and everyone elses suprise i think.

Brae came into the world via ESC 24.12.04 weighing 9lb 6oz; he was 10days too cooked. I think he was quite comfy in there.
Spending 2days in labour with intense contractions(dilating to 5cm), waters had gone & being induced was not a nice experience.

Had and E/C due to BP rising, McKayla not dropping and her head been presented wrong.
turned out to be a really good idea as her skull was crushed against my pubic bone and she would never ever have came out and her heart beat started becoming eratic.
Birthweight 3,42kg.

Hi there,
With son #1 I was induced with very mild pre-eclampsia at 7 days overdue. From then I was in labour for 31 hours, I got to 6cm dilated then emergency c/s for failure to progress. Alex was born at 11.52pm on 25th of October 2004 (Labour Day!!). He weighed 9 pounds, 2 ounces (4.120kg).
With #2 son I went into labour 7 days overdue (according to scan dates, my dates say only 1 day overdue) by myself. Laboured for 9 hours & got to 5 cm dilated when my "time limit" ran out & I was prepped for another emergency c/section for failure to progress. Blaire was born at 11.54pm on 1st of June 2006. He weighed 9 pounds, 4 ounces (4.190kg).
Two gorgeous little boys regardless of how they were born!

Amelia was born 8th July 06 at 3.21am, via emergency c-section after being induced 40 hours earlier at term, due to diabetes (which has stuck around damn it). My papers say 'slow progress' but she stuck her head back and I developed a lip on my cervix at 9.5cm dilated ... argh!
I seriously tried to be brave about the c-section, but 40 hours with about 5 hours sleep, it was not do-able and I cried for a bit , before I fell asleep on the table - woke up as they pulled her out.
She was taken to ICU for air (problems with breathing) and blood sugar monitoring. I finally got to hold her about 1pm.

Ashlee was born via emergency CS (13.7.06 6.03pm) due to failed induction. I didn't labour at all, no dilation, nothing. Baby started doing decels that were showing on the monitor so they didn't want to risk breaking my waters and have her stress even more. So CS it was.
I was terrified until I got into the OR and discovered it was nothing like Shorty Street (It was my first ever op. I was naive!) so I relaxed a lot. The surgeon that delivered Ashlee also delivered me!!!
I was surprised at my ability to be able to waddle around the following day, and went on to have a fantastic recovery with no problems.
The next baby is likely to be elective due to other health issues.

jack was an elective c/s because he was breech. born 25.08.04 at 39.1wks weighing 5lbs 12oz
charli was emergency c/s due to posterior, head flexed, lip on cervix, unstable heartrate. all this after pushing for almost 2hrs, i was sooo determined to get her out but it wasn't to be. she was 7lbs 6oz at 41wks on 10.10.06. unfortunately they tore my uterous trying to pull her back the other way and i lost 3ltrs of blood. because of that and 2 c/s, any future babies will be c/s ones. but we are done now anyway

Joshua was an emergency c/section due to "failure to progress" - 38 hour labour, including 2 hours of pushing. I was induced 10 days after his due date and while it all started off well, ended up regressing, and contractions dropping back to 45mins apart dispite syntocinon at full strength being used to get it all happening again. Born at 8lb 1oz, and absolutely the most beautiful little man I'd ever seen. Is now 1 year old
