Topic: Im An Aunty!!!! Posted: 08 September 2005 at 10:41am |
Had a call from my lil bro in Aussie yesterday and his girlfriend had a little girl, Shaquilla Lily 6lbs 8oz. She was breech so they had a c-section.
Nathan (bro) was so quiet on the phone, he was in shock!
I'm so glad they had a girl, if it was a boy he was going to be called Damien Lucifer!!!!!!!
I wish they lived here, its so hard, I want to see lil Shaquilla now!!!!!!!!!

Congrats! And agreed on the Thank God it's a Girl!
I don't have any nieces and nephews either, I'm the oldest and I think my parents would die if my brothers or sisters provided them with a grandchild anytime soon (my brothers are 23 and 19 and my sister is 21 next week).
They're still recoveringf from the shock of Maya's arrival!

I am a step-aunty to my gorgeous nephew Sam ( my s-sister's son) and aunty to my husband's brother's monster children. It's lots of fun being an aunty....but be careful. I gave sam lots of paints and drums and stuff when he was little. Now my sister is rubbing her hands in glee and plotting revenge.

Yep, disgustingly spoilt. And Mum Dad and my brothers and sister all live in Sydney so they only see her a few times a year which makes it even worse!
We're in Sydney atm, last week my Dad bought her a life size Shrek toy (Qantas are going to die when I take it on the plane!), and a horrible stuffed dog that sings the wallawalla bingbang song from Grease. Mum took the batteries out, but she figured it out and demanded them back!

I'm already an aunty to 2 girls but they are from my hubby's family so she's kinda like my 'real' niece if ya get what i mean.
Jack was my parents first grandchild and yes, he is definately spoilt!! Especially by my sister, which is funny because she was so upset when i said i was preggie as she is older than me.
I'm so proud of my brother and his girlfriend though. They met in a chatroom and he moved over to oz after a year and then 6mths later, while over here on holiday, they found out about the pregnacy. I just hope they last as she's only 17 and he's 27. So far so good though, she's really mature for her age, which works out well cos my bro is kinda immature

I know what you mean Vanessa, tho my brother is 20...he acts as if he is 15 but thinks that he acts like a 25 year old....I sure hope he grows up soon!
I am sure Jack still will be spoilt...as he is here in NZ.

Congrats on being an Aunty!
If I go by my sister's standards, she takes it as her job to let Hannah do/eat all the things I won't let her!

yep, my mum does that, each time she sees paris she feeds her up on choc and lollies... till i told her off. It's neat being an aunty and having kids that dote on you, you can be the fun one, do the fun things and then give them back to mum. I do that for my nieces and nephews and my sisters do that for my girls... they are SPOILT rotten... mum came round the other day, first time since Paris's birthday and paris toook her to show off her new toys. mum goes "my god, what DOESN'T she have!" thing is... about 90% of the stuff in her room wasn't bought by us, is was bought by my mum or my older sis from hamilton.
I have too many nieces and nephews. lol. I was an Aunty at 7yrs old. (my nephew was born on my 7th birthday).. I now have 3 nieces and 7 nephews and another (something?) on the way in a few months.
