 Topic: Brother and Sister Married

I just saw on the news that seperated at birth twins got married and had 4 children together.
They have had their marriage unnulled(sp?) now that they found out the truth.
Poor people, finding out all these years later that they are actually twins.

I feel so sorry for them! That must be the most emotionally gutting thing to go through!  And how must thier kids feel assuming they know the full story of thier parents separation???

I duno, I have to say Love is Love... aside from the potential genetic problems with the whole thing, and it's a little too late to worry about that, what's wrong with it? Did they choose to have their marriage unulled, or was it a legal thing? If my partner turned out to be related to me somehow, I wouldn't break up with him for it... wouldn't have any more kids, yes! (For genetic reasons) But seperate over it? No way!

i think it would be tough to live with though. my DH said he used to live in fear of bringing girls home in his hometown as inevtiably they ended up being a cousin.

I think it was a legal thing thats why they had to have it unulled. I think they are still going to live together. But wouldn't it feel weird.

Wierd, but kinda amusing - try plotting a family tree with that! Lol. It does makes sense in some ways though  alot of people are attracted to those who look similar to themselves, I can say I'm definately not related to my fiance, but we have been mistaken for siblings by strangers before (this was before we were dating  ) Of course this was me @ size 8, pre-baby... now it's kinda obvious since I'm size 12, and he's a scarecrow.

I feel sorry for them, love is love and they had no idea what they were doing was wrong. It must be hard for the children to deal with as well findout that mummy and daddy are in fact brother and sister
