Does anyone know how old babies have to be to have a RAST test done? We're going to be in NZ when Kate is 9 months and I would really like to get her tested through Charlottes specialist while we're there. Not sure how young they do it though and I can't find any info on the net Charlotte was 14 months when she was done but haven't heard of any babies having it done any younger than 12 months. Does anyone know?

I don't want to book it and find shes too young.

I think they have to be over 12mths or the results arent terribly accurate. Could you ring/email and ask before booking??

Maya was done around 9-10 months. Mercedes was done at 3 weeks. The results are more accurate later on tho.

Hmmm well I may book her in to get her done just so it gives us a vague idea, even if it isn't terribly accurate.    I've been trying to find an email address for him but no luck- guess I might have to have a late night one night and call from here! Or con Mum into doing it

Yea Blake is going to have his done now as he had them done when he was about 7 months and the Paed said they were not accurate until after 12 months and on.
