  • The attitude
  • the "I don't like you"
  • the "I don't want to live with you"
  • the constant hitting of me
  • the selective hearing
  • the yelling
  • the shouting
  • the hitting of his younger brother

I almost lost it at Andrew after I picked him up from pre school today. His preschool teachers saw a different side to him. He hit me from the moment I got there to the moment I got him in the car. Then we got home and he started on his little brother. I ended up on the phone to my friend who tried to talk to him and he refused to. So I got him to pack a bag and told him he was going to live somewhere else.

I went to my friends place and told him he was living here now. He is a little scared of her DH. We stayed there for a few hours and her DH cooked us all dinner while we talked and the kids played. Her DH had a good talk to Andrew about his behaviour.

I know he is missing his dad (hell I am too), but i'm sick of that excuse for his awful behaviour.

We will see how things go tomorrow after the talk he has had.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

Must be so hard!! I hate it if Joey hits too, but that is only every now and then and he goes straight into time out and that nips it in the bud (for the time being, lol) Wouldn't know how to handle the constant hitting though
4 days to go!! Hang in there!!

awww Becks, we never did get that catch up do ya wanna still pop around one arvo???? Please do
And although you are sick of the excuse he is missing his dad it must be so strange for the little guy as he is so use to having dad around, I know that the behaviour is not acceptable but prob the easiest way for him to express it. Big hugs

Oh I feel for you.
I've done the "your going to live with Nana" thing with Alex because she could be such a little monster. We put hers down to the attention Natasha got because she was always sick. It hit home one day when Alex finally said to me "I wish I was sick like Tasha".
Hugs to you all I hope seeing his Dad helps.

Are you seeing Nigel tomorrow? Maybe he can talk to him?
I remember when I was about 10 yrs old or so, my dad went to work overseas for a while, and I too acted up a little but I was much older than Andrew so could be reasoned with (to a degree)
Hope Nigel can talk him into giving up this behaviour

We are seeing him tomorrow I am so excited. He spoke to him last night about it and has improved a bit.

i bet you won't sleep much tonight becks! it must be hard to not have someone else around to help out when andrew is acting up...it's so tiring isn't it!

i'm with ya on the behaviour! i'm so sick of jack pushing and hitting charli, 'i don't like this house/my bed/etc', telling me to go away when i go to get him from daycare....the other day he packed a big tanty and wouldn't get his bag so one of the teachers said they would talk to him while i put charli in the car...1min later he was at the car all smiling! why do they never listen to their parents!!!!

we've started taking toys away because jack likes his naughty chair
