figured we could use this thread to moan and rant and rave.

Here's mine for today
Jake ripped mums net curtains AGAIN, and I will have to either replace (money I can't afford), or repair...which will look crappy.
Anyway, heres the big one.

Background info: Lewis is one of the biggestflirts I know. I don't mind in all honesty and it's just what makes him him. I've never been a particulary jealous person. Lewis has a million close girlfriends who adore him and they often go out, just the two of them. I've never had a problem with this. Sometimes they come over home and we have dinner, so it's not secretive or anything. Once my girlfriend pulled me aside and told me her boyfriend had seen Lewis out with another woman and thought I should know. I already did - it was an english lesson. But anyway.
Today I got an email. Saying that Lewis has a girlfriend since November (when I left). Now the language makes me know that the emailer is Japanese. Japanese don't always understand the platonic friendship thing either. So I'm not sure what to do. If I should confront him (i probably will), or leave it, as it is probably just a friend. I know while I was away Lewis went out a far bit with some girlfriends, actually mostly MY friends, and I DO trust him, but now this stupid email has planted a seed of doubt in my mind. GRRRRRRRRR.

Oh Liz, that sucks about the nets. Tell your mum its not the done thing to have nets anymore and Jake was just doing her a favour . Or if that doesnt work try the sallies or op shops for some new ones.

Re Lewis. As you said he has alot of female friends so its prob just that the emailer got it wrong, but to put your mind at rest i think you should bring the subject up with him.

I second what Maria said re the Lewis thing. Having lots of girl-friends is easily misconstrued by many people. I reckon the emailer got it wrong. I think that to put your mind at rest you are gonna have to mention it to him, otherwise it will bug you.

Yep to what everyone else said. I'm sure it is completely innocent.

And grrrr re: the net curtains - Maya ripped Gsmums ones!

Bugger about the curtains!
I cant really comment on the Lewis issue. The dynamics of your relationship is very different to mine and I would not put up with the things you do, plus IM a naturally suspicious person but I do think you should talk to him for your own piece of mind. Do you know who the email came from

Bummer about the nets, Liz.
I am with the above, in the bring it up casually line of thinking. Personally, though, I know it would be driving me to distraction, mainly because he is so far away and you can't physically *see* anything. I, myself, am a suspisious person by nature, so I wouldn't be able to help myself... actually, I would be on a plane right now, ont he way to Japan!
Big hugs to you!

Okay, now feeling better. went to spotlight and found some nets on sale - only $10 for two. yah!! And wrote an email back to that person asking who they were. I will bring it up with lewis though. I'm pretty sure it will just be a friend thing. We are pretty open about his friendships and a few times he's had someone come on to him. He's always told me about it, and then if I say so, stopped seeing them as friends. So i do trust him comlpetely, it's just when that stupid thought gets in your head......

On another rant - got stuck in the rain this afternnon and me and Jake got saturated (Taine was under the blanket and toasty dry.

Feel free to add some more rants. Figured we need a place to complain!

ok then here we go - we are staying at my sister's place and her 9 yr old is just at the moody brooding sulky slamming door stage of entering woman-hood - lolol... except now my wee 2 yr old has decided that it is perfectly fine for her to copy. now i know she's far from perfect and a bit of a princess, but i am beginning to forget the last time i saw her smile, and i absolutely cannot remember when i last asked her to do something (even if it was something nice) and had her look at me and happily agree. ARGH this is gonna take weeks of reprogramming!!!

Then add to that that since sunday night, miss ayja has had sky high temperatures, even pamol has not done much, and she has woken the whole house up screaming uncontrollably for the last 2 nights, every hour or so. she will not feed, she will not cuddle, she will not take pamol, NOTHING will make it stop. We took her all the way into hamilton yesterday to the 24 docs to be told that there was nothing they could find, it was probably.... wait for it... viral (am sure they say that when they can't admit they have no idea). so here we are, going home in 2 days time, and i am hoping that tonight she will not scream all night. we are going to have to go home to get sleep and re-programme our kids.

there ya go, there's my rant.

oh yeah, and our new house we found just a few days before we came away on holiday - is pretty much infested with large black spiders. (ARGH!!!!!!) and our cat has not come home.

Liz, can sympathise with you for the nets thing, my mum still has them, and grandkids are forever ripping them. chances are they are about 20 years old and only held together by 2 threads anyway. lol

Aw Liz... I'll bash Lewis for ya on Tuesday if he's outta line! (Which I am sure he isn't... it might seem like a while since you guys have talked properly [in person] but I'm sure as soon as you see him again you'll be able to have a decent conversation and sort out any feelings the email may have brought up.)

And Janine... won't be long before you are back and home and can get back into routine and normal behaviour!
I know exactly how you feel right now as well. I've posted about this before, but Hannah got really sick over new year when we were camping with a whole lot of non-baby people. Hannah was absolutely miserable, I was so stressed and everyone else was pretending that they didn't care that my baby was screaming up a storm at 5am on New Year's morning. Don't be afraid to go back to the doctor. I went to the chemist when she first developed ulcers on her mouth and he said it was her getting her first teeth (arghhh she had a whole mouthful!?! How did he not notice when he checked her mouth?!?!?) and then a doctor who said the same thing about a virus... or two...
In the end just had to let it run it's course... she stopped eating and just had milk. The only reason that I didn't go to the doctor again was because we were in the middle of nowhere, otherwise I'd have been straight there. Anyway... there is hope... it will get beter.
(Geez, what a load of rubbish I'm talking tonight!)

Oh actually I lie... I had some crazy hippy doctor do some magic stuff on her. I have no idea what it was... or if it actually made any difference but it was weird... very very weird... lots of saliva in belly buttons and head tapping etc. I didn't ask too many questions!

Okay, so not exactly a rant... but I do need to vent, kinda...

I am sitting at the computer close to tears at the moment because at the other end of the hall is a little girl bawling her eyes out. Kiya has sore ankles/feet, and I think I know why... I've rubbed them a little, and given her some Pamol, now she just needs to get back to sleep.

I have a hereditary blood disorder... Nat and I have suspected for a while that Kiya may have it too. My family found out it when I started geting random joint pain when I was 5 - turns out I was bleeding into my joints. I think that's what is causing Kiya's pain now.

Okay, I think she's asleep now...

Thank goodness it only takes a simple blood test to get her diagnosed these days! I had her tested when she was 12 months old (negative), but some research since has told us that there is more likely to be a true result when the child is 5 or more.

Glad she got to sleep finally Becca. Well on the plus side, at least you'll know what she's going through and can be there to help her. You also know that she's going to be fine! (Better than not knowing anyway...)
Hope she doesn't have sore feet/ankles for long.
Lots of hugs

Beyond regular painkillers, there's unfortunately not much we can do for her. I kinda remember it, and it was not pleasant. It feels like you've bruised the bones in your ankle... painful and itchy at the same time.

If we're right, and Kiya does have von Willebrands, then she's in for more bleeding into joints every time she has a growth spurt.
