Whats you relationship like with your doctor??

I think mine is pretty good (I don't want to leave him when we move). He totally gets Andrew (and he is a handful) and he understands how I am feeling. He is great with Josh and today was carrying him around the practice for me (got some weird looks from the other patients) before we left.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

I think of my doctor as a friend... he's been amazing. We were actually talking about it today and we worked out that I have been going to him since Conor was 15 mths old!! He has helped us so much, especially after the ex died.

My kids love him, and DH thinks he's one of the better doctors he's been too.

He gets me.

Our doctor has a great reputation for looking after kids and is fantastic with DD1 (haven't had to take DD2 yet ), as is another doctor in the practice, I am really happy taking my kids there. But I have yet to find a good doctor for me, the best doctor I ever had was back when I was living in Auckland and I haven't found anyone as good ever since - wish I could transport her down here!

My doctors fine, i've been going to him all my life,so hes all i know, hes nice enough tho

My work mate was telling me about when she lived in England as a young girl, there was a doctor who just loved kids, one time a lady came in and said her little girl was sick in the car, too sick to come in -even tho the doctor had some important meeting with some bigwig, he rushed out of the meeting to help this little girl....what a great guy

I love my doctor. I've recently gone through some big issues with endo/gluten and all those stuff, pretty in-depth and personal things to talk about, and I feel completely comfortable talking with him and asking his advice.

When we had Hannah and were uncertain about immunisations he made himself available to talk over our queries but not pushy. That was fantabulous!

I get very attached to doctors, when we first moved from Orakei to Avondale I used to drive all the way across town back to our old doc coz I trusted her. When she moved to Wellington I found a practise closer to home and we have a great GP there, in fact both of the lady GP's there are great, esp with the raft of issues we've had with various kids over the years.

Willie sees a male doc at the same practise, I don't like him much but he is perfect for Willie coz he doesn't beat around the bush.

My GP is fantastic. I saw her this morning and she always asks about the rest of the family especially Tasha and will really go the extra mile calling with results and ringing starship etc if Natasha is relapsing as it's not always easy to get hold of the specialists there.
Saying that Natasha's rheumatolagists(sp) at starship are amazing too.

Have known him since I was 2 when we moved to Christchurch and if there's anything wrong he sends us for tests straight away. He's fab!
